Who can live without the products that are made in China?
I remembered I saw a news about someone had tried to live without the products that made in China, and he found that it was so difficult to live without it. Many thing that he is using daily are made from China, if he have to be 100% not to use the product of China, it will be very inconvenience and is very hard to adapt to it.
The experiment is true at least for me, when I look around those stuff that I have, most of it are made in China. It is not possible not to use the products of China. You can find any products of China easily just around you.
Do you think you can live without the product of China? What is your view?

Well I think its not possible, every gadgets or appliances will be directly or indirectly "touched" by china. For example even if those gadgets are made in the us, the chemicals, materials used still came from china. So you really can't do anything about it unless you go into your local woods and shun all outside world.

Hi
Sorry for the late reply, I have been on vacation for a few days.
You are right that almost everything are "touched" by China, there will be always certain part that are mare in China. Many raw material are made in China. I think if you were to stay inside the jungle, you will still find that you are wearing something that are made in China.

I could live without Chinese products though perhaps my quality of lifestyle may suffer. Surely anything that is Chinese made could be sourced elsewhere though it might be more expensive. Chinese goods are often of poor quality

Hi urbandekay!
You are right, we can live without China products but we much be financially strong and stable to be live that way, or else we have to spend extra money on many products.
One thing that I do not really agree is that not all China products are poor in quality, there are good quality China product too.

I am sure there are some Chinese products of good quality but I mostly come into contact with tools and other engineered products and the ones imported to UK are often (though not always) of poor quality. Holes machined to incorrect tolerances, incorrect grade of metal used for the stresses placed on the machine.

hi yspmyl no offense to my chinese mylot friends but if my U SA is to ever get out of this depression we do need to stop buying foreign stuff and buy things made in our country until we have all the jobless back working in their various trades. its all well and good that we have had so much trade with other countries but now we need to get p eople back to work by making our own stuff in our own factories in our own country.then we can again trade with others but right now we have hardly
any stuff thats made here in the US and thats just not right. we people out of work need jobs here in our own country.

Hi Hatley,
Sorry for the late reply.
It is not really a good thing when some country are so dependent on other countries. I mean in term of supplies. Just like you said, people from their own country are jobless due to too dependent on imported goods which reduced the job available in the country. But I think not many will want to start a new factory in USA where the high living standard and labor cost will definitely scare them away, for example, they can earn a profit of 85% in other countries with lower labor cost but if they set up a factory in USA, they will get a much lower profit and I doubt which company will refuse to earn more profits? Unless they get the same benefit like in other countries.

For Chinese, definitely we can not live without the products from China.
For instance, the herbal which we consume to maintain our health.
Most of the herbal in our country, Malaysia are imported from China since many years ago.
Even though for those who passed away, we have to burn the incense which are imported from the China during the Qing Ming festival.
Note: The festival Qing Ming for this year was on April 5, 2011.

Other than the Chinese society, I am not sure if they are really closed related to China's products or not.
In term of cost and the improvement of the technology, I believe some day the China's products will start flooding every corner in the world.

You are right! For a Chinese can never avoid to use the China products since our culture are similar.
On top of the products that we use for cultural purposes, there are many more products that we actually use without our realized such as electronic products, textile products, stationaries and many more that you can think of. I believe if you really check on stuff that you use daily, you will find that most of them are made from China.

During this time, it's impossible to live without the products made in China. There products are not too expensive. Aside from that, there are a lot of Chinese living in the Philippines. There are already places that are called China Town. So for me, its impossible.
