program called Infested! It is discusting. Mice plagues in Australia and one years back in California.Cockroaches in an apartment complex and racoons in a familie's roof of their house. We are incroaching on them! I have heard of mountain lions being hunted down and killed because it jumped a child. I feel badly for the animal too. We are incrouching on their area. We see racoons around here all the time. And we have to make sure our cats are in at night or they fight. What is your take on this? Any thoughts? Do we have what it takes to survive an infestation? www.animalplanet.com/infested

Hey celtic! I'm not really sure who is in whom's territory at this point, but I do feel sorry for the animals too (maybe not so much the cockroaches! But, it's "man vs. beast" and once "man" has deemed something "their" territory the poor "beast" is, "SOOL"! (If ya know what I mean) I am all for the animals most of the time and I truly don't want any of them hurt unnecessarily if possible. But, unfortunately once man has declared the territory theirs than the animals must stay away especially the bigger more dangerous ones that can be a threat to man. I hate that this is the way that it is, but there really isn't much that can be done. I hate that man does take the territories away from the animals in the first place and feel that is the problem, and that's why "WE" have to be their voices, as the ASPCA repeats to us over and over again and again!

Too many people are selfish and self serving and do not care to see it from the animals standpoint. This is sad but it is also normal. I don't see it changing any time soon.

OMG...I have seen that show and it is crazy!!! I watched one about this family that bought a home that was built over a place where garter snakes migrated to for breeding. Apparently they had done this for years and it was easier to move than try to get rid of the snakes! There were soooo many under their house that their water started to taste funny and it was snake secretions! They lost a ton of money! Noway I would be ready for that one.

That one was on next! I slept with the light on that night. Had a worse affect on me than the worst horror flick I have watched.

I am "in town" but my yard has hosted raccoons, possums, rabbits, squirrels, fox and coyote, not to mention a rat, mice and shrew mice which the cats have taken care of. That does not even include the various birds. It is going to take some effort for animals and people to co exist.

You have quite a monagory going on there. We have racoons and squirrels. I don't think people will ever learn or find a way to co exist.

hi celticEagle I remember one year here in California when we had cockroaches in our house and it took forever to get rid of them and they were also all over the state. I dont rememeber now just how we finally got rid of them but they were so gross and so sickening. I watched part of that and could not watch further as my tummy was already upset and now I am really feeling sick. wow.here in Southern california in Tustin hills the coyotes are being shoved out and thus come down to kill small cats and dogs and even tried to carry a baby left out on a lawn but someone scared it off. so the child was not hurt. but they have tried to move them into the forests and that has helped. They were here first as were the deer tool.

Ya, mankind doesn't look to the reason for things they just drive over it and could care less. I am glad I am not a man/kind. lol

I think that it's really gross!!!, I just hate mice, and I'm really afraid of cockroaches...but I think that sometimes it isn't fair to kill animals like the lion you mentioned, when the fact is we are trespassing on their territory, we build subdivisions and flatten out mountains to suit our needs...sometimes, I agree that we are slowly killing mother earth, but I say yes to obliteration of roaches and mice, they are the ones who encroach on our territory, wishful thinking, I think it would be almost impossible to make them extinct, they multiply in thousands!!!!

So true! And then I continued to watch for some reason and the next one was about Hobo spiders and ants. The ants were imports from some other country and very prolific and the spiders were very hard to kill and dangerous. And they kept showing close ups. You can bet I slept with the lights on!
