I am not sure if I spelled that right but it's one of my favorite dishes. Potato and Rice soup I think is what's in it. Yummy very good and filling. I don't usually get this when I go out to eat greek but it's definitely something to warm you up. Have you ever had this soup and did you like it like I did?

Avgolemono soup is a popular Greek soup made of eggs (avga in Greek) and lemon (lemoni in Greek). It is very easy to make: Start with 1 liter chicken broth, add a little rice. Whisk 3 eggs and juice of 2 lemons in a bowl and when the rice is cooked, ladle the egg-lemon mixture in the soup. Do this carefully because the soup may curdle.

I have never heard of that before but I do not know much about Greek food either. The only kind of rice that I will eat, is Chinese, chicken fried rice.

I eat alot of potatoes coming from the potatoe state and being Irish. lol Potatoe and rice. Hmmm? I make alot of potatoe soup and salad and such. Love the flavor. I didn't know for alot of years that there were so many different kinds of potatoes. There is one called Yukon that is yellow and makes a wild frie.
