Should US Just Leave Afghanistan? Stay another 10 years?

I would really like to know opinions from any mylotter on this one, especially folks from outside the US.
There is a growing opinion in Congress in both major US parties that we should reduce or eliminate our presence in Afghanistan. Arguments range from it costs too much to President Karsai has not been a good partner to haven't we already nearly eliminated the threat already?
The nagging fear as I see it is what happens if that country falls to tribal warfare and renewed power of insurgents or terrorists will we look around at our national leaders to see "who lost Afghanistan?"

We need to get out. The mission was to capture or kill bin Laden. That mission has been accomplished. Afghanistan is a craphole. It always has been and always will be. We can NOT build a nation there no matter how much time, and money we spend and no matter how many lives we lose trying. Terrorists will never cease to exist and Afghanistan isn't the only country that was harboring them.

I think US should leave Afghanistan. In stages. Although it's a big drain in your US's economy, pulling out suddenly may cause the still-active insurgents to overrun it again.

US is in Afghanistan for its abundance in opium, and US needs addictive substances to render its people docile and unable to object to political manipulations.

No matter when we leave there will always be the thought that "they" could come back. If now or later. I do think we should leave. We need to bring our troops home from many of the fronts and recollect. Our budget cannot afford what congress on both sides are throwing everywhere and we need to as a nation take a little time to fix us.

No in my opinion US should leave AFGHANISTAN because once US leave it TALIBAN will again take control over AFGHANISTAN with more preparation & this time they will be difficult to evacuate from there. Killing of OSAMA does not mean that now AFGHANISTAN is free from terrorism they are just eying for intruding in AFGHANISTAN. It doesn't matter if the cost involved is high but US need to stay there soldier to maintain peace in this part of ASIA.
