Hussein O received votes from all walks of life and both parties when he ran for the Presidency. Now all of a sudden, Conservatives are racists even though a large number of them voted him into office. Yeah, that makes sense.
The people who are saying this are bigots and racisits themselves...

The problem with President Obama is that he is for everything we are against. He is all for big government and we conservatives want small government with personal responsibility. He is for spreading the wealth and we are for hard work and enjoying the rewards. He wants things to be equal for everyone and we want equal opportunity for all.
They don't like Gov Palin because she is the perfect liberated woman except she did not have an abortion, did not get a divorce and believes in personal responsibility and the free market.

I can't and won't even try to speak for anyone but myself, but I "don't like" Half Governor Sarah Palin (I feel that since she QUIT without finishing out her term she isn't worthy of the title!) for absolutely NONE of the reasons you cited. I didn't want her to be Vice President and therefore a heartbeat from the Presidency and I CERTAINLY don't want her to be President because she has no intellectual curiosity, she is combative and mean-spirited and she will never, EVER admit to having made a mistake! Being a reality show star doesn't make one qualified to be the leader of the free world.

So, Annie, are you willing to admit you were wrong about Palin and the Paul Revere thing? :~D

Seems to me I was taught in Junior High or high school not to make "sweeping generalizations" and both of those statements are definitely wrong.

I know they are both wrong, that's why it's funny! :~)

I don't totally follow your reasoning but I do agree both statements are ridiculous. However, I think we have to admit there are SOME conservatives and SOME liberals who can't handle one or both! I can't speak for anyone else but I can tell you Palin's being a woman has nothing to do with my opinion of her.

There are plenty of reasons to dislike either one of them. Or like either one of them. Gender and Color are not valid reasons to prefer someone. We have run into that as we have a woman pastor at our church.

Exactly Annie. The statements are both ridiculous. We all have our reasons for liking/not liking a politician, and it is disingenuous to consider someone a hatemonger simply because they don't like a politician we like.
People who make that assumption are simply showing their own ignorance.

It's just an excuse, a distraction to keep from answering for real issues. The liberals' plan for running the nation is shameful, and Lord knows they don't want to talk about THAT. Crying racism is much more convenient.

I agree with you totally, unfortunately there are many people out there that are only too willing to play the "race card" or the "gender card". They seem to think that if we don't like Obama or Palin then we are either against a black person being in office or a woman being in office. It would be interesting to see which way these people would react to a black woman running for President? If they liked them and we didn't which would we supposedly be against? A woman or a black person?
Why can't they just wake up and realize how immature and uneducated sounding these type of statements make them? While I am not particularly fond of either of the two, gender and race have nothing to do with it. My opinion is based on what I have seen from them politically.

To be honest, I wish we'd just do away with all these dam lables. I agree with certain points that the Conservatives make and also the Liberals and also the dems and reps. Now we throw race and gender differences into the mix. WTF. I am a woman. I"ve lived through the women's movement and seen women get stronger and more independent. I would LOVE to see a woman in office but NOT Sarah Palin. I'm color-blind when it comes to people. I really could care less. I think it is cool that Black people and women can run for president now where before they could not and even cooler that they have a ghost of a chance in winning. Our country doesn't NEED a woman president nor does it NEED a black president. It needs a good president and it doesn't matter what color or gender.

Knee jerk liberalism always struck me as the ultimate in stupidity. It makes no sense, yet liberal people actually think this kind of uncalled for "fact" is a brilliant theory.
Your take on it is great. WTG, Ted.

That is per racism and predjudice! Sounds like something my father would say! Yikes! You'd think in this day and age this would not be happening! IT is and it is so darn sad! I might not like Obama as president because he is an idiot not because he is black!
