Well i just backed up my very first blog today and am planning to delete my account there as i won't be able to update it anymore. My first entry there was way back November 2003. Mostly i wrote about stuff during my college days and posted some online quizzes and such. I just remembered to download and back up my first blog because somehow my brother's very first blog has already disappeared without him even knowing about it! Haha. It's too bad he wasn't able to back it up as well. How about you, do you have a blog? Is your first blog still easily accessible online?

My first blog was created last year. It was a blog about poker, basic things like where to play, tips about poker strategies and poker news. I didn't updated anymore because I couldn't join to blogger anymore. I sent email to see the reason, but, of course, they didn't answer me, so, I quit the blog idea. I was thinking in create anothe one, but now I just don't have the time for that.

Aw that's sad, maybe there was some conflict with the terms & conditions? Not to worry you can always start a blog but of course let us use it wisely and responsibly as with anything else. =)

Props for this topic! Bought my very first blog on March 7, 2008 at godaddy and is powered by wordpress. YES it's still up. I write about my daily ramblings, mostly my shopping activity and my movie marathon with my hubby. I'm also using it to earn extra income, :)

I have couple of existing blogs right now. Compared to others who responded here, my very first one was made in October of 2009. It's about my life as a teacher and my travelling experience. I can't remember the last time i went there to visit or logged in for that matter. In fact, even to my other not so new blogs, i seldom visit. I just don't have the time freedom now as oppose 2 years ago. I wish to updated it, though. Cheers!

That's true. Having less time is difficult to travel. I work everyday from morning up until evening. Then, i go study every weekend for my masters. I just don't have much time anymore.

It was a few years ago. That blog disappeared, but I still have one that is on my profile page. I have not updated it or been on it much, well I have been busy here and besides to update t,since it is under a different email address, I would have to use a different browser since this one is for my mylot account. I think I have it backed up on my computer, but not too sure. I really have to get a new external drive, but right now I have other things to do such as getting to fix the basement, looking into a new Tv or putting a lamp in the one I have, plus there are other things.

The blog admnister gave it to someone else. I think it was that they got a new administrator. There were a few who also had the same problem. It was very straightforward, what I had on and easy to duplicate so I switched it over to my new blog. I have not been doing such to them. Too busy here on mylot.

Oh you've deleted the blog or is the blog hosting site already gone? At least you had backed it up so you won't regret not paying much attention to it before. Yeah usually there are so many things we need to do that we don't have much time for other things. =)

I think my first blog was about my age and my old hippy memories. It was during the 25th Anniversary of Woodstock. I listened to music on YouTube from that time and remanisced about how cool it was to have been a teenager in the 60's. It was a time like we will never know again.

I have just one blog which I started 4 years ago.I have not been very regular in updating it and so never thought of starting any other.I am surprised to know that a blog can disappear. Mine is easily accessible and I do log in regularly .I have heard others tell me that their blogs too have vanished, may be because they had not logged in for a long time...

Yup sometimes if it's too "old" or if the site hosting the blog is already non existent then the blog disappears. That's true if one has not accessed their blog for a long time well then of course we won't learn if the blog hoster has vanished or something. haha~

Hi owstalaga: I remember the first blog I've ever created. It was just for a test so I've only created a blog entry. It was a political blog but soon I've stop updating it. I now have only a music blog where I support my favorite band on earth, that's Starsailor. ALVARO

i see, hm, that's unique, a political blog, but now you're into music. Wonder if you'll change blog again soon? Me i've never written in just one category, i post whatever i feel like and just categorize them inside that one blog.

I've got just one blog. I started it about a year ago, and it's quite active on an irregular basis. I have no plans to start multiple blogs for i know i won't have time to maintain them all. I jope i'm able to maintain my current blog for as long as i can. It's a simple blog about my life, happenings around me, really like a diary. Therefore, i think it will never stay obsolete for long.

Actually most people use blogs as diaries, i think that's initially the purpose of blogs before. Not to worry if you are an active blogger i don't think it will disappear anytime soon. =)

I made my first blog 10 years ago when I was studying in secondary school. It was in Xanga and at that time, xanga is a very popular platform for blogging (seems we did not have facebook at that time I don't know). I remember my purpose of starting a blog was to practice English (I wrote in English). So usually the blog length is around 100 English words, which the number of words is similar to the newspaper cutting task at school. The blog is still exist (although I have made it private), but the second blog I created 8 years ago has been deleted since some of my web friends tried to make use of this and attacked me with my personal stuff. I am angry that they read my blog post not because they want to know more about me, but to intrude to my privacy. So now I started a new blog, which seldom talks about my personal daily life, but talk about the beauty products and cosmetics that I am currently using. I enjoy doing this as I don't have to worry about being disturb. Phew~ I really want to keep moving and keep writing this blog!

Oh i still have my xanga blog i think. I'm not sure if that's my 2nd or 3rd blog? hahaha. Well that's sad if you're then web friends used the information on you instead of getting closer to you as friend. That's why we should all be careful what we put out there and post online. At least let us all be responsible people in whatever we write in public on the internet. You never know who might be reading it in the future. Hm, so maybe your current blog is popular since it talks about beauty products now.

My first blog was created about a year ago, and it consisted of a lot of photos and some text posts about me and my insignificant life. I liked it though. I did many things and was exposed to so many things that I hadn't known about. There's a lot of photos on there that people can relate to. And yes, it is still accessible to this day. It's pretty current, as I still use it on a daily basis. I think that I would probably delete it when I move off to college so that I can focus on other things.
