We had 12 kids die over the weekend here in car crashes. They drink and they drive too fast and they all die. They showed whats left of the cars and I cant believe it. Theres not much left. When I was young, we used to party also and drive fast and some of us had car accident but nobody died. We could always drive away with our cars after. Also, it was a time when many guys were driving with a bottle of beer between their legs and it was legal!!! So could it be that cars now arent made the way they used to and thats why so many die when they hit something? Is it because they are not good drivers? Is there something missing? So is it the cars or the drivers that kills so many young kids now? http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/story/2011/06/20/quebec-weekend-accidents.html

I honestly think it's because people are really reckless these days. I don't think it was that cars are made differently. If anything, they're made for tougher and stronger to endure any type of unfortunate situation. I think it's that people are drinking too much, and they are driving unsafe for the road. And sometimes it could be so unsafe that it causes damage and suffering that is so unbelievable. It really is such a shame to see someone die this way though...

The consequences of driving while drunk can be devastating. It could either kill the person behind the wheel or those on the road.I feel the percentage of youngsters driving recklessly is more than was earlier.I think its better to ask a sober person to drive than leave the wheels in the hands of a drunk.

Yes, nearly in all accidents, the drivers were drunk. They were also speeding. Its too bad. They shouldnt even think of driving when they are drinking. Thanks for sharing!

There are more kids driving, the cars are made of lighter weight materials, so they get better fuel economy and they are able to go at faster speeds. All those things lead to more deaths as well. Cars used to be all steel and designed to take the crashes. We did not have seatbelts either.

Hi magicalbubbles, Its the driver who kills so many young people they drive so reckless & fast and break all traffic rules that's why they have accidents.I don't think there is much a fault of car except when there is genuine technical fault occurs at that time for which driver cannot do anything. But driving after drinking must always be avoided. People who do this should be severely punished so that people may have a lesson from it.

Hi SJVG, Well I agree with you that you shouldnt drive when you have been drinking. They are being punished with their lives. So many die recently. Thanks!!
