You are actually supposed to feed yourself, not starve. Five to six small meals or snacks through out the day is better for you. Breaking your fast with fruit in the morning and fiber. Drink alot of water, one glass full before each meal. No big meals. Mostly vegetables and fruit. No white flour or sugar. Make this your lifetime diet not just for afew months.

Keep yourself busy and busy without thinking about it. That might be the best way to ignore the hunger within your stomach. I also experience hunger many times, especially during work. I tried to make my brain preoccupied with something else. Otherwise, it just disturbing me the whole time.

That's definitely works. When I'm doing something that I like, I completely forget about eating.

I read somewhere....a long time ago... that the only time you really need to eat is when your stomach "growls". The growling sound is the digestive acids churning on themselves because there is no food in your stomach. Other times that hungry feeling is more likely thirsty and you should drink something. That said, you can do a few different things if you feel like you are over eating. Drink a glass of low-fat or skim milk, eat a small piece of low-fat cheese (mozzarella, provolone, swiss), dark chocolate, a handful of pine nuts... These things are supposed to make you feel full without adding a lot of extra calories to your diet.

It's not really a good idea to ignore hunger (it's there to tell you something), but drinking water can convince your body it's had something to eat, since it fills the stomach. Anorexics use that tactic (please don't do something silly like that!). Smoking also helps, but that's probably not a good idea...!!

Why are you doing this? You should be talking to a doctor D: Water is a way to trick your brain into thinking that it's full. Earlier, I was starving but I drank water because I was just a thirsty. I instantly felt full. Don't ignore your hunger please! You might develop an ulcer or your intestines might go bad. I have an uncle who hardly ate and now he can't even eat dairy.

To ignore hunger drink water, take some green tea as it will kill your apitite or any other tea, coffe will do.And if you want to do it mentally without even using water then go to sleep or engage your self on internet. One more thing you can do is go out of your house and engage yourself with your friends.

If you haven't eaten in awhile then you need to eat, however, if you've recently ate and are still hungry try drinking some water to help alleviate the feeling of hunger. You do need to eat if you truly are hungry as it's not good to ignore it. You also want actually lose weight from ignoring it, in fact, the next time you do eat you will probably eat more then you mean to and effectively making the fact you ignored these hunger pangs null and void.

Well there are a couple things that could help this alarm your body is setting off.... Number 1. Eat some food already * it is not good to starve your body because then when you do finally eat again your body will store your food as fat in a survival mode Number 2. Sleep * if you are still wanting to not eat then sleep Number 3. Drink more fluids * drinking fluids will fill you up and pause that alarm for a bit but will eventually come back. Hope I helped somewhat

As you may know ignoring your hunger is not really a good idea and also unwanted hunger after your meal is also not a good hunger, in my opinion never starve, always feed your tummy to a minimal with nutritional food apart from unwanted garbage which is simply thrown off by your body. In my opinion the effective way for ignoring hunger is simply not to think of it, by being busy in something else that keeps your mind occupied.

Whenever I'm hungry and I know there is no food for me I tend to drink liquid, preferably water, and that does the trick. But, I don't think it is a good idea to starve yourself, let alone ignore your hunger. Your body is trying to tell you something and it's not a good idea to ignore it after all you've got is your mind and your body to get you through life.

I do this a lot of times, but it's very difficult because one time you are going to get very weak. Usually, I go to bed and sleep, that's for me is the best way. And, at least for me, you don't wake up so hunger as you were before sleep. Sometimes it works if you watch TV, but only if you don't watch shows about culinary.

maybe cutting back on food a little and drinking more water will be helpful for you. Often we confuse hunger with thirst and I drink quite a lot of water and decaf coffee now to curb hunger and it seems to work out well.
