I have a good friend who underwent angiogram the other day. He might need stent. Now, I know what stent is, thanks to wikipedia and many other sites and blogs out there. I am interested in good quality stent that would last for long. Thank you for your patience. I hope you all would be able to give me the costs involved.

Hello ma. The best there is: Titanium stents. but the cost is staggering. I honestly hope your friend will be alright though. Where will they insert the stent, if i may ask?

hi vandana my best friend Nelda had a heart attack two years ago and had tho have two stents put in. Her health insurance covered them and they are still working fine. I have no idea what the costs were but ther in the USA stents are covered by health insurances.Perhaps your friend' s stent will be covered by her insurance also hopefully.

Dear Hatley, the gentleman I am talking about does not have financial constraints, as far as I know. It is just that he doesnt have kids just like me. So for anything he has to depend upon somebody. He is too hesitant to ask even me. Today he went around collecting some CD to get some approvals because he has to get that approval for reimbursement. I volunteered, at least thrice. But he declined my offer. He treats me like a kid at 52. He feels I cant manage it at this age. The only help he is willing for is lunch and dinner. That too he is trying to avoid dinner. Not good no ma? Someday I will be in his place. I wonder how I will feel, and whom I would feel comfortable with. He can call his relatives but the problem then would be obligation. They have been nice with me in the last 30 years friendship so they felt a bit close to ask me. More so because there is no obligation. Felt bad to see them all alone yesterday no visitors.

No idea Vandanaji A friend of mine had undergone angiography last year, he lives on the other side of river, after seeing this discussion, i called his cell phone, but it says, switched off, so i will ask later and if there is any information i will tell you. I think doctors in your city can provide information. thanks for sharing.

That is very sweet of you professor. Actually, this is a couple who has been with me through thick and thin. And I am kind of worried.
