I do not like mayonaise, but tuna salad sounds good
.I love Philadelphia Cream Cheese, salmon flavor mostly.I use it as dip with Bugles....yummy!
.
Do you think if I use that cream cheese with tuna fish and some flavoring like garlic powder and onions,do you think that will work in substitute for the mayo?

It might work. I don't like mayonnaise at all and when I eat a tuna sandwich, I just put the tuna on the bread with nothing else. Some people might think that is boring, but it is just my way. Go ahead and give it a try and let me know how it turned out. Have a great week!!!

Yes,for years now I have just been putting tuna on the bread,so has my mom.We prefer tuna with oil.The past few years I have been putting garlic powder on it instead of salt and paper.
I make's it tastier and safer for me.I love garlic and have high blood pressure,so I do not add extra salt to my food.
I think I will try it and yes I will let you know what it's like.

I don't use salt or pepper, but not for health reasons. If I make a soup, sometimes I will use salt, but I never cared for pepper. I could try some garlic powder because I do like the taste of garlic. I had never thought of that. I just don't have anywhere to store spices since I live in a motel room right now.

Hello dfollin. I'm like and don't like mayonnaise either. To me it tastes rancid. I use a salad dressing like mayo and my daughter uses Miracle whip which is a salad dressing like like mayo. I think that if the creamed cheese is at room temp it would work.
My granddaughter was at a friend's house and they decided to make a cake but had no eggs so they decided to try the creamed cheese as a substitute. According to my granddaughter it turned out great. give it a try and let us know how it turns out please.

I'm not sure since it isn't as easy to use as mayonnaise, but maybe one of the new Philadelphia cream cheese cooking cremes would work for you. I know people who use mustard and you can use tuna in creamy or cheesy casseroles, so why not a cream cheese sauce? Be sure to post how it turns out!!

I guess it would but think sour cream would do better if u like sour cream. Add a dash of mustard to, i like that.

It may work for you in some recipes, but I'm not so inclined. My mom used to make a "salmon mousse" using canned boneless salmon, cream cheese, and red horseradish. It was yummy. Add salt and pepper to taste.
I think there are tuna spreads that use cream cheese, but may add some mayo and some sour cream plus seasoning.
