A traffic exchange is a site where you can get fresh visitors to your web site in exchange for looking the sites of other members. There are several hundreds of traffic exchange sites on the internet and finding the ones that are good can be tough. There are two kinds of traffic exchanges, manual surfing and auto surfing. Most sites are both a manual and an auto traffic exchange, but do they really work?

Yes they work, since the main function is to generate traffic to the page. But I wouldn't rely on them to generate many sign ups. or any for that matter.

Depends on the extent that you want it to work. If its to a partial extent, then perhaps a lot of the time. If you are able to stick through and keep surfing through, if you have all kinds of time to burn, people might really take a look at your website, the law of averages are going to really work out in your favor eventually. However, few if any people on traffic exchanges are really looking at your website. Unless something just grabs their attention. They are too busy running through the websites, trying to gain credits to put to their website. They honestly don't care about anyone else but gaining some views to their website. Then there are a lot of people who are not really viewing their websites. It doesn't matter if its seven seconds or thirty, traffic exchanges don't work to any huge degree, although there have been partial successes. I have given up on them.

I have never heard of this before. I can see where it would be interesting though. The only way to find out is to try some and see. What your expectations are and someone elses are two different things so the only way to really know is to check them out for yourself.

I'll admit I haven't really used one. Mostly because the ones I've found cost money and I don't have money to invest into something that I'm probably doing just for fun. No, I've found word of mouth is one good way to get traffic as well as creating a blog and spreading the word on your own. Make sure your website is interesting enough so that it draws attention to itself. If you make it eye-catching enough (and I don't mean with flashy adds or anything) then traffic will drive itself to your site.

Hi! For people who have used any traffic exchange will know that you can actually boost up your site traffic but they are not the real traffic, that mean they are just come and go, without really look into your site content. For example, treat your website like a shop that you have tons of traffics pass by you door but they never really buy anything from your shop, they just look at your shop and leave. You will never earn anything from such a traffic, that is the same for traffic exchange.

i think they work, but the problem is are they really interested on your site or not, because if not, thats totally useless.

Yes, it works but it depends on what you are promoting there, if you are promoting your referral links, then it's o.k. Most traffic exchanges have for members people who only want to get visitors to their website, but I know one traffic exchange where you get visitors to you website and you are also paid at the time. Well, I tried maybe 5 traffic exchanges, only one worked for me. And I got a few referrals using this traffic exchange.

Well they are not that good if you ask me. People who are using these sites are also people looking for traffic and not information.
