A discount card

When traveling it is worthwhile getting a card to give you discounts. Like a youth hostel card will give member prices and non-member prices are more expensive. If you are a full time student you can get an International Student Identity Card for discounts on flights, other transport and places of interest such as museums. I got a VIP Card when I was in Australia and it gave me money off staying at backpacker hostels.
Train tickets often have a complicated price system. It is worth having a discount rail card. When I was a student I had a Young Person's Railcard and now I have young kids I have a Family and Friends Raicard. People that use coaches in my home country can buy a discount card to use on National Express Coaches.
Do you have any discount cards?
If so are they useful?
Have you found any way to travel cheaply?

We don't have that much of a discount rate for travel here. Although most hotels in America have member clubs where you can earn free nights after you stay at their hotels so many times or spend so much money. There are also triple AAA cards which give a bit of a discount on air fares and such. I don't currently have any such card at the moment though.

When I was younger I had a couple of discount cards. One of the travel agencies in my city gave discount cards to young people, and I was able to buy cheap plane tickets that way. Now I am too old for those discount cards, but it was a great way to travel without spending a lot money. There were several travel agencies in my city and the other ones didn't have discount cards for young people, so I was very happy that I found out about those discount cards while I still had the chance to use them. At the same time I also had a student card. With that card I got discounts when I visited a museum and I was also able to buy cheap books.

It seems that I don't have any discount card concerning about the travel. Most of my discount cards are from the stores, deparment stores and restaurants. But I have a discount card and I can have discounts in some restaurants around my country. So if I have a national travel, I may use it when I have a meal in the restaurants. It can save me some money.
I love China
