Yahoo mail, upgrade from Classic a fatal mistake for some.

I'm currently doing tech support on a website and I've seen a few dozen complaints about the new version of Yahoo mail. Once some users have switched from Mail Classic, they can't even access their accounts anymore. For others, spell check doesn't work. They can't get at their contact lists, cannot even send or receive emails. Others are finding it so complicated to even use. I haven't had to switch up yet, something has stopped me from doing so, and after reading all these complaints, I knew there was a reason for not switching. I've contact Yahoo about this, but unfortunately I haven't heard anything back from them, and I don't know if they'll do anything about this issue. Hopefully they do, or they'll have some really unhappy users who will leave and use other mail providers.

I do not like it, but I have got it. I suppose I will get used to it. No real problems, I just do not do change very well at all. I wish I had not, but I was not thinking well when I did it.

Soon, no one will have a choice in the matter. I'm holding off as long as I can though, I hate change like that.

I think that is why I did it when I did. I wanted to know when it was happening. I hate those changes as well.

I haven't had any serious problems using it but I am very unhappy about the way they have moved things around and the way that I have to keep 'Agreeing' every time I log in (perhaps I have something set up wrong, however). Although the interface looks 'purty' and you can change the colours, those are just cosmetic changes. It is WORSE than the 'Classic' screen in many respects. You can see fewer folders at once; you cannot change the position of contacts and folders; the 'move' button has inexplicably lost its text (why? when nearly all the others have text!) ... I had better not go on! I won't leave Yahoo because of it, however. I need to be able to have at least two mail systems open at a time, so I use Yahoo for one purpose and Gmail for another.

You're facing one of many problems others are facing, and that's what gets to me as a tech support rep. If Yahoo doesn't respond to these complaints, they could lose a lot of business in more ways than one.

I haven't switched yet either. I can not see well enough to use it. I hope that they get it fixed, or totally offer a choice, instead of making the crap version mandatory.

Today I switched to the upgraded yahoo out of desperation. I would have stayed with Classic, but my time was running out (Yahoo message, Septe 16). I have used this account for my nonprofit since 2006. In the last two weeks thousands of email messages in my inbox were lost and this has continued to happen, now just 55 messages inbox and over 6000 in sent. This is disgraceful and I have no way to get them back.THIS IS MY BUSINESS. Anyone know how this can be fixed?

I have not encountered anything serious using the new Yahoo mail but I have two emails just in case and the other is still Classic,
