Unless Paul McCartney comes through and sends me some of his money, looks like I either need a tablet or a smartphone or something. Lucky for me, next month I'm up for a new phone on my phone plan anyway. Why do I suddenly have this need to finally enter the 21st century? DADGUM WORK HAS FINALLY BLOCKED MYLOT. CURSES CURSES CURSES... Just thought I'd let y'all know...

Oh yuck! Sorry to hear this and boy do I know the feeling. Though I was not on myLot when I was working I couldn't even Facebook and or ebay or anything. It was quite frustrating sometimes, even when I did have to search legitimate sites for work related projects. I feel for you and yes come forth to the 21st century! Does this mean we won't see you during the week and day time? noooo!

That makes it really hard to keep up, doesn't it? I think the next thing I get may be a tablet, but it isn't going to be soon. Hope you get what you want.

Blocked Mylot? Hmmm. It security at my last jobs ages to block most of the sites I went to. I am certainly sorry to hear it. Hope you can work some from home. Boring days ahead for you you. Ugh! I had afew options at my job that I could do but when I was done with the free classes and read all the malarky they wanted us to be up on what is left? Texting isn't much fun. Those small keys, your eyes cross. Ugh!

Well, next time instead of asking for a raise just ask them to get you a new Blackberry and pay the charges on it each month. Good deal for them in the long run and GREAT for you! Hehe

Oh no! Yes, you gotta get a smartphone so you can continue to chat with us during the day - ha ha! My hubby's got one - but I told him I don't need one - so I still have the regular ol' cell phone (I can text now - can you believe it - I just started that!). I say I don't need a smartphone, but there are times when we are out and I actually have time on my hands and I think damn - I could use it right now! Ah well. Did they block Facebook too (that's happened to a lot of my friends).

Man that stinks, so you won't be here until next month? So how did you get on to write this, another computer? You could always go to the library, I did that for 15 months..

I wrote it from the home computer. I'll be on, but no more work discussions on my lunch hour or during boring conference calls.

Do not enter the twenty first century! Smart phones can be a pain in the rearend! My Droid is a pain a lot of times and so I'm glad I have my trusty straight talk phone. Suuuure at first it's an awesome phone (the droid) but then it just gets laggy and stuck and just ahhhhhhh! (runs screaming from mylot)

Hi ya dawny I am not sure if a smartphone would benefit me as here in the UK you would have to pay more per month to access the internet etc. I am trying to keep my monthly costs down and I don't think I would use a smartphone to the max either. I can't stand to look at such a small screen, would do my head in hahha

Dearra's internet charges are more than mine (her phone is newer), so I"m sure you're right.

Sorry what does DADGUM WORK mean? Rather then a smartphone I think you'd be better with an actual PC or laptop. I have a smartphone and I find them limited due to the size of the screen and the keyboard, give me a proper sized screen and keyboard anyday. But it's personal choice.

dadgum is a polite way to say damn, like darn or dang it. work is my place of employment...

I've never heard of dadgum at all, yet alone in place of damn or dang. I knew what work meant but with dadgum in front of it I thought that it could mean something entirely different without knowing what part of the world you're in.

I think if I stayed on my old job, they would have blocked myLot sooner or later. Luckily, I have gone to this new job where we don't really have an IT department. It's all outsourced, so we could pretty much download whatever we want. A smartphone with a myLot app would be nice!

Who doesn't anymore thease days? But, you probably shouldn't be using your work's computers for personal use. In fact I'm surprised that more and more people don't block access to the internet to prevent employees from goofing off. Then again with the invention of the smart phone, that's not possible. Well hope you get a good one and hope you like it.

That's just plain evil, blocking mylot. Stupid, stupid people. My phone works best as a torch so I should possibly get a new one just because it'd be nice to have a phone that sends messages when it's supposed to etc. But it's so boring to priotize buying a new phone when I could get a new lens for my camera or a trip somewhere for the money. They're expensive, the fancy phones. Plus, most of them come with a camera, but not a very good camera. The ones with a good camera are very expensieve and I don't really want one of those bad cameras. Once they got popular, a whole lot of bad photos emerged online. *shivers*

Hi, Dawn, I'm sorry for you, what a misery! You should be really pissed if you have used to enjoy myLot at work. I could do it, it's not blocked, but I don't have any chance. When I go to work my day is so full that I can't even open my personal mail. I can do myLot only at home and that means a little time. Maybe you should try a laptop or a notebook?

That is a bummer....they should have asked us before they blocked mylot..we would have showed them the benefits of being a member! Hope you find a phone you like...mine is barely into the 21 century....plain old tracphone...but I only have to pay once a year and that's it! I like that part!

I have never myLotted from my phone, but I do check facebook once in awhile from mine. I don't have a fancy smartphone, but mine does have internet access. The internet is not all that fast though. I imagine myLot would be really slow on it. That really stinks that they blocked myLot on you. I guess they finally caught on to ya huh?

They changed software, and I guess this one is smarter. A smartphone is better than what I have, but it would probably still be a pain.

Darn it! No more MyLotting from work I take it? That’s got to suck...I don’t have a smartphone, I have an ordinary Nokia that I love. My sister has the latest IPhone and I find that it is too small for accessing the Net. Perhaps an IPad may be better, I don’t know...I love my VAIO laptop but it is not so inconspicuous to hide at work...

don't get a BB or check it out first as my BB does not allow me to mylot on it. This was one of the reasons that I bought it for. this really is funny dawn but you will find a way to circumvent them. you are much smarter that they are

I will never get a smart phone! I really don't see needing on! I have a Tracfone and that is enough for me! My brother has an I-phone he got from work and if he didn't have it he wouldn't have it! I have enough trouble figureing out a computer!

I was against the idea, and then I was in physical therapy, and the therapist went and looked up some exercises for my shoulder right then and there, was pretty cool. Maybe I could warm up to the idea.

I'm afraid to get a smartphone. I'm probably not smart enough to figure it out. I sure don't want a phone that can figure me out before I can figure it out. I was just thinking by the time I figured the phone out I would be due for a new upgrade myself. Just like starting over. What a bummer, that your work blocked Mylots. God for bid you have any pleasure during your lunch time. Because I know that was the only time anyone was on Mylots.
