I'd rather be at work

I am bored today, none of my friends are online and while there is plenty to do I don't want to do it. I kinda wish I was at work, but at the same time I don't. I like my job, it's not a bad job at all. If I was at work I'd be getting paid and that's great, I need / want the money. However, I feel like as soon as I got to work I'd think of a million things I could be doing instead. I'm off today and tomorrow / on call. I doubt I'll get a call though. However it could happen. I could be mylotting but I'm not in the mood. I kinda feel icky... What would you rather be doing?

we had a rough weekend, I'll probably post about it when I feel less bad, but - because of that, I would rather be sleeping... And because it was Monday, today at work was busy! Oh well, last week was pretty disrupted because my client had family in from out of state, so I didn't do too much because they were there Monday and Tuesday...

I'm sorry you had a rough weekend. I don't like those. Monday and Tuesday off last week was a bit of an off day for you? I like those but don't at the same time. I like my routine but if my routine starts to get boring I like to mix it up a bit.

I hope you aren't coming down with something. When I was working it was always the week-ends or my days off that I would get sick if I was going to. And I would get to work after laying around for a couple days and figure all the stuff I should have done while I was at home.

It was womanly problems, that was all. However, the same is for me, I seem to feel sick when I have days off but as soon as it's a day for work I'm fine again.. and I think of things I should've done while laid up.

Hi SomeCowgirl, seems that the show up of friends here is one of the reasons to get you bored huh. Yeah, no matter how great the interest is towards our favorite stuff we still would feel bored for it's nice to stay away from it for some time. What's more you get interested in the ample pay of your work only. Try to do some fresh thing which you haven't tried before to stimulate your moody spirit I come here to have fun after having my breakfast outside. I have pretty good appetite after doing my regular morning walk Again I come here to have fun chatting this and that. I can't spend more time typing here as I still have my schedule to busy with. However yet could eke out time to have fun here on and off... Happy posting

Glad to know that you finally can enjoy what you couldn't get into yesterday Really, to have more interesting new hobbies would broaden our horizon and experience awesome joy and fun Oh gosh, four to five hours of nap will spoil my normal sleep in the night for sure. I hate to toss and turn the whole night. I usually will take a short nap like half an hour or so to get refreshment

Yeah having more hobbies would definitely also lessen boredom! Oh I slept wonderfully last night even after several hours of sleep.

I was just not sure what to do yesterday, tried to nap but couldn't. Today I've been doing alot of that, probably napped four to five hours which means I'll go to bed later tonight. It's good to get out and experience more, get more hobbies and the like. That's what I need to do.

I know what you mean. I am always working all of the time. I also get other things done at home as well since I work here too. I always want to take time and do something for myself but never go and do it hardly ever.

Stephcjh, I'd actually have rather had been at work. Sure there are things I need to have been doing, but I just didn't have the energy to do them. While when I'm at work I get paid for what I do, so it's a great feeling. Even when I have time do things for myself I don't feel like it!

Hello, Not to worry, life is far to short for that. Everyone has a lazy day when they really want or need to do something, BUT, they just cant be bothered. Doesnt make you a bad person. Just chill and relax, why do something today when it can wait until tomorrow..

Well thanks for responding to my discussion but do you care for a re-read? I'm bored, that is what I am saying. While I mentioned I could be doing something, my point is IT'S A LAZY DAY and I'd rather be at work....

Well thanks for replying to my response, not everyone does, but guessing by the rather large number after your name you do alot, which is always nice, makes mylot so much more interesting. Having a job and going to work and earning money is always a good thing, especially nowadays, but you still need time to recharge the batteries. If you know what I mean. Have fun..

Oh yeah definitely know what you mean. Gotta have time to relax. I actually got called in today, I've not called back yet, they left me a voice mail. Gonna call soon to see if they still need me, because while I don't mind going in I kinda secretly hope they don't need me by the time I call.

I want to go swimming as well! Summer is almost over and not sure if I'll be able to go this year, but I'd love to be able to. Been waiting for a friend's pool to be put up.

I'd rather be either earning good amount of cash or eating right now, both seem impossible right now so I'm sticking to mylot for a while.

Right now I would rather be sleeping. The kids are getting ready to go to bed here shortly, so I might end up going to sleep early. I am tired. I tried to take a nap earlier today, but I just couldn't fall asleep. I was off today except for a meeting at 8 am. I don't have to go to work till 6 pm tomorrow, so I kinda want to stay up a little later so I will sleep in and not be so tired tomorrow night.

that is the worst for me, deciding to stay up so you can sleep in, or go to bed early because you're already exhausted. Then there's times when you want to sleep and just can't! Well I hope you figured it out.

I had this sometimes as well, when I'm studying for example, I think of hundreds of things I'd rather be doing. A lot of the time, I don't feel like mylotting but I do it anyway.

I didn't like to study when I was in school, probably one reason why I'm not planning on college with any seriousness. Mylotting I've been getting back into but I had a haitus of a few months before.

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling icky. I am too as we just came back from the airport to say farewell to my step-daughter who only visits us for a month a year from England. It is a very sad and weepy moment for us and rather then thinking so much about the sorrow I decided to login and see how I can keep my mind busy.

I think I can feel what you feel, because right now I feel bored. I dont have a job but im a college student and we are on holidays for 1 month, we will start the class on September and I wish its September already. Its funny, when I had class I wished its holidays and when Im on holiday I wished the class would start sooner. My friend, the one whom I always spend my time with, cannot come online because her son is sick. I borrowed 7 books and read 3 of them but I feel bored. Maybe rearrange the room can help you to feel better? I clean my closet, then I mix and match my old clothes, its helped me a bit.

fashionfever, I need to do that, but just don't have the energy / want to right now. I need to buy some containers and plan to on my next day off after I get paid (which today is pay day but gotta wait til tomorrow when I work to get it). I hate when I feel so bored but can't do anything about it. Luckily, that was yesterday and today I am fine.

When my kids are bickering I'd surely rather be at work myself. I have little patience for their behavior when they are mean to each other and don't pick up after each themselves. I'd prefer to do things with them and spend time with them when I'm off but instead I have to catch up on all the dishes, pick up after them, laundry, ect because no one will do their part and it get's overwhelming and I usually sate it once a day that I'd rather be at work.... I'm appreciated there!

I understand. I am not currently working but I am taking college courses that I don't like. I would rather be watching movies. However I am glad that I am taking them because if I wasn't, I would be bored out of my mind. Plus I am glad knowing that I am that much closer to graduating. Honestly I think I just want these classes to be over with and to start taking some new classes that I will actually like. Although I could be taking classes that I hate, I don't hate these classes I just dislike them. Maybe you should write a list of things you would like to do when not working when you can think of them and do them the next time you are bored. This way you will not get bored when not working. I usually try to plan something fun and exciting when I have the free time, although sometimes I can't think of anything or am so broke that I can't afford to do anything other than just relax and watch television.

At this moment (and every other), I'd rather be somewhere other than Florida. Then, I would be doing something fun and, possibly, community-related. Even if I were watching the linoleum curl somewhere else, it would still beat being in Florida. Here, I have no real ties, but I do feel as though I am mired in quicksand. This isn't my sort of state--no family, no real friends living nearby, no church, no job, no organizations...

I think I would rather be at work today too. There isn't much going on and there isn't much on television. I, like you, feel like there are so many things I could be doing but don't want to. I would probably be more enthused about doing it if I were getting paid, which is why I think I would rather be at work.

I get those kind of days too. And like you, I'd rather be at work, and getting paid. At least at work, there would be people that would push you to do something, and not be bored. But if I had a free day, I think I would do at least one of the many projects I have at home. Maybe finally hanging the pictures in the hallway.
