We went to a drive in movie last night. The weather was perfect. We saw Planet of the Apes and Captain America. It was a beautiful night. Unfortunately I forgot my glasses and I had to strain a lot to see when the scenes were dark. But it was nice. We brought a cooler and some snack from home so we only spent money on the admission. Have you been to a drive in movie recently? Do you bring your own snacks when you go?

I have never been to a drive in movie before. Mainly because we don't have such in our country. But I would love to experience it. I wonder what it feels like to watch a movie in the open air and not confined in the 4 corners of the movie house...

It is very nice, especially on a beautiful night. You can't hear as well as in a theater unless you sit in your car, but it is nice to breath in the fresh air as you watch a movie. I hope you get an opportunity to experience it some day.

I hope so too. I have seen a lot of movies where the lead actors go to drive in movies and it seems really nice. =) I wonder why no one has ever tried that here in our country yet.

First of all, I'm not totally sure if there is still one in the area. There might be one. I would say it has been at least 25 years, maybe 30, since I have been to a drive in. Interesting thought though. I will keep an open mind to this option for entertainment.

It is nice, and you get two movies for the price of one usually.

There aren't drive-in movie theaters in this area. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't any at all in this state. There were some in the North, but I have yet to go to one. I think I will have to add that to my growing list of things that I will be dragging my boyfriend to/making my boyfriend do shortly after returning home to the North. After me having to endure this state, he will be doing a lot of things that I want to do once we return home (even if we were in this state for another decade, which I refuse to be, I will never consider this place "home").

I haven't been to a drive-in movie in over 10 years! They closed the only drive-in theater where we live almost at the same time we moved here. I still remember the last drive-in movie we saw. It was Perfect Storm. I wish there was a drive-in theater here. I really enjoy going to drive-in movies.

I haven't been to a drive-in for many years. This brings back a lot of good memories, though. My sister used to take all us kids to the drive-ins, because that is about the only way that we could afford to go watch a movie. It was a lot of fun. We would bring our own food, but we usually could get one snack from the snack bar as well, although often times we would have to share it with the others. When I think back on it, I am a little surprised that we didn't argue or fight about the sharing, but I guess we were just so happy that we could have the treat that we never even thought about arguing over it, especially since it would probably mean that we would not be able to have one the next time.

As I live in the UK, we don't have any drive-ins. Our weather is too grim for that! In 1976, though, I was doing a university course in Field-Archaeology at New York University in Oneonta, and when it finished I had a chance to go down to Hyannis, Mass. to visit my Mum's cousin. While I was there I went to my first and only drive-in movie. It was a Doug McClure film! It was a smashing experience. I remember we steamed up the car with our hot snacks! It's a memory of fun times I treasure!

Unfortunately there are no drive in movies close to me, so if I went I would have to spend the night. If we did go we would take a cooler. As a kid we always took sandwiches for supper. I am glad that you guys had fun.

I've actually never been to a drive-in movie. I do know that there might be one or two near what I live, but I've never been to them. However, I will admit that I am certainly interested in going to a drive-in movie. It's something that I would like to, at least, try.

I have not been to a drive in movie since I was a child. It was a family outing to go to the drive in. It was an exciting way to go to the movies. I don't even know if the drive in exists anymore. it's a shame if it doesn't. it was a great experience in my childhood.

Hello lady! I am not sure that there are any left here, as I have not checked in along time if they exist here. The couple I was familiar with a long time ago are no longer around. I remember the loads of fun it was to go to a drive in movie with our own snacks and beverages. It was a lot of fun to be with those you care about right in the car with you. No one I know around me really cares for them anymore so I have not gone to a drive in movie in several years. I am glad you had a lot of fun.

Hello ladym33, Yep. My friends and I did went to see a movie last night. At first, it was hard for us to decide what movie to watch. We were four. One likes Planet of the Apes but the three of us disagreed. The other suggested Captain America but the two among us had already watched it. We ended up watching Conan the Barbarian. It was a good movie and all of us were somehow satisfied. We bought some drinks and popcorn before entering the theater like we usually do.

There is no drive in movie facility here in my country. Its one of the ways to fight in moral activities and maintenance wise was the reason we dont have such facilities. One of my dream is to create a place where we can have drive in movie park. Guess thats a lot of things i have to do, like how many acres, whos going to do the cleaning in the area and how many cars can fit in. I hope I hope

I've never been to a drive in movie in all my life. I do not think there are drive in movies here in Sweden. It sounds awesome to have the privileged going to a drive in movie having your own snacks and lemonades. If I ever get to the USA again I'll put drive in movie on my to do list!
