Tacky Hairdo's

I admit the first thing i notice about anybody on tv or in real life is their hair. I guess that comes from being a hairdresser for 47 years.
. I believe that people's hair is the worst looking thing i have ever seen, on tv especially, men & women.. I was watching cnn & jeanie mose[spelling] makes buster brown look handsome. How tacky her hair was. I'd be ashamed to get out of the house w/a hairdo like she has, much less be on tv.. I know alot of tv people wear wigs but if she spent her money on a wig that looked like that she's lost it. Do u look at their hair, clothes or what ??

Fourty seven years is a while to be in a profession. I was in the customer service profession for thirty plus years. I tend to agree with you on the hairdos. I see young women with a lovely head of think pretty hair and they do the foulest things with it. Afew are nice but most now days are discusting. And alot of short hair. I think long hair is so much more attractive. Even on men! Let's not get into the clothes!!

It was a long while , believe me, lol.Guess id'd still be working if i hadn't had the stroke.I think young women are pretty w/long hair if they style it.I don't like to see lady's w/gray hair wearing it long. I dislike to see the young ones w/stringey hair & they are constantly tucking in behind theie ears. That is a pet peeve of mine, lol.i like men w/short hair. Thanks for responding.

I agree with most of that. Funny thing happened to me one time. I worked for a short time with a gal who was probably in her late twenties at the time. She had DYED her hair GREY. I thought that was so weird. I dislike stringy hair. I guess my hippie days comes shining through with my liking guys with well groomed long hair. Samson and all that I think!

i notice the face first of people. especially the eyes and nose. i guess i judge the thing they cant do any thing about. 
my bad. i think its because of my nose thats always been to big and all my life people have commented on it sometimes. but then ive alway had good compliments on my eyes. so anyway, maybe thats why i look at faces. btw, you have a nice lovely face thats porportioned very nicely. @ANTIQUELADY (36440)

I do not watch much television. A lot of our local news will come on and there are credits for who has styled their hair, but I do not always like the looks of it. I look at their hair, makeup and clothes. I like it if they have a pretty piece of jewelry. A lot of the hairstyles have no style at all that I can tell.

Hi Antiquelady,
I do notice their hair sometimes... like when there is no style to it and just sort of washed and brushed but no style. No curl or not specific cut ... it's just kind of ratty... I have seen that quite a lot on the news.

The first thing I notice about people is their eyes. I dont pay much attention to peoples hair. unless they are one of my kids. I am always on my daughter about combing her hair and such.

What really perplexes me is the men with the toupees. You know they have the money, and if they are going to spend it, please get one where you cannot tell it isn't your real hair. I mean if the toupee starts at the middle of your forehead, we're going to know it isn't real.

I don't automatically notice anything unless it happens to stick out. If they have an extremely tacky hair do I would notice that. If they wore extremely tacky clothes I would notice that. But if they look and dress normally I probably wouldn't notice anything beyond whether or not their attractive at all.

I have a friend who is a couturier and she always look at the clothes and has always something to say about the clothes. You are a hairdresser so you do look at the hair first too. I think I also have the tendency to look at the hair first even if I am not a hairdresser. I love beautiful well groomed hair. It could be long or short but should be well kept. I hate hair that make the wearer look like witch. The hair is our crowning glory. It has lot to say about the person's entire look. It's at the top so it should be our top priority.

Thanks for respoding, we are in full aggreement about this. NO MATTER HOW FINE your clothes are if ur hair is not styled it takes away from your look.I am sooooooo tired of seeing women w/long stringy hair that looks like it needs a good shampooing.This lady on CNN was pitaful looking w/her hairdo.
