Hiya myLotters and friends! Recently, I found few long lost friends on Facebook. The very last one that I found is my very first girlfriend, my very first ex. It's just nice to find such friends whom you last seen or talked with many years ago. And this my first actually, we last communicated about 30 years ago. And that took us time to recall each other, the memories, the olden days. Do you recently reunited with an old friend through facebook or any other social networking sites? When was the last time you seen each other or have communicated with? How long before you were able to meet again? Were you able to remember or it also took you time to recall each other? Or she/he almost ignore you when you requested friend request? ~~ NEILâ„¢~~

Reunited? When I confirmed one friend request from lost long classmate in highschool and college classmates too, that was the time when some of my friends from highschool and college, starts sending me friend requests too. Some of them learned about my illness through my facebook wall and they are all giving me a message saying they will be praying for my condition. I lost touch to four of my close friends and I got in touch with two of them because of Facebook. There were lots of awkward moment since it's been ten years since college we got separated and they are now change their personality. I feel they are kinda snob in a sense that there are many silent moments while we are talking over the phone, but after an hour or less than hour of talking we finally feel the we missed each other and the old us came out. It was an exciting feeling and one of the memorable since I got a chance to talk to them once again.

reunited, at least on social networking sites or even email communication. with this last friend (ex girlfriend) i found, she really had about 30 minutes or almost one our of exchanging messages before she told me that "hey, i remember you now". i cannot blame her. aside from the 30 year old memories, she was too young at 10 or 11 that time. it's just too interesting for me at least, to know how she is doing now wherever she is now. and yes, i think she is doing great with life, with her work, with her love?

Hey, despite the "hey i remember you" moment, at least she remember you. But how could she, after 30 minutes of conversation, that was only the time she recalls about you? . Well me and my two friends had an awkward moments at first but when i said the magic word, the sparks came back again. But, we lost touch again today because I am not using FB at the moment.

it's nice to know that you guys are experiencing the "hey, I know you" scenario. some people add me probably because they know me but doesn't do that conversation thing. maybe am just sensitive but aren't they suppose to chat if they wanted to talk to you for some reason? have a nice day

Yes, I did find an old school chum on here and now her older sister, my BFF, and I are online together. She had not wanted to go online but she, my BFF, got a computer recently so we are in communication. It has really been nice to have her online after trying to get her to for so long.

Hi Neil! I know the feeling coz that's also what I feel when I finally found one of my friends from elementary school in FB! Well actually, I already reunited with most of my friends/classmates from highschool and from college because my classmates created a page for our batch so through that, friends' invites are coming, and I don't have difficulties remembering them coz the names are familiar...but nothing beats the excitement and happiness that I feel when I saw my friends from elementary school especially one friend that I missed so much, she's my friend since grad 1 and the last time I saw her was during our graduation, and after how many years, finally I found her and I just can't explain what I feel when I saw her name in the friend's invites list...we have a great talk and hoping to see each other in person again... by the way, I just recognize her easily because of her name but I guess if I will just look at her picture, it will be a bit difficult for me to recognize her coz she have changed a lot... It's really great reuniting with our old friends and bring back all the great memories that we had in our younger years...

Good for you. I also manage to find my ex through facebook. I also find a lot of my friends from school, village and old working place. A study have shown that the biggest facebook user are from Asia continent. No wonder we at Asia can find a lot of our long lost friend. As long as they using their real name, it is not difficult to find them. About reunite with my old friends, so far it is difficult to do since many of us scattered already and very hard to find each other. But with Facebook, at least we can still interact with each other.

oh yes, we can find them as long as they use their real names but women sometimes are hard to find because they usually change names. and yes, even if we could not reunite physically, at least we have ways to communicate with them again, after years had passed. it's nice to know how they do now and how successful they are in their lives, and lovelife.

no, because women have to change their names when they got married.

Strange is it. I wonder why women like to use different name. They usually try to make their profile name as cute as possible.

it's ok and fine without the daily conversation. at least, when you feel that you have to say hi and hello to them, you know where and how you can possible send the message.

Yes. I admit that is the whole reason I never joined Facebook. I try to avoid these people in the supermarket. They want to talk about days gone by. Why people want to talk about things that happened over 20 years is beyond me! I find it extremely boring. I hate reliving the past anyway. People remember what they want to remember but I always remember the bad. Also if you are not already in my circle of friends then there is probably a reason for it. No. I don't want to add you friends from the past.

I have managed to become reconnected with some old friends from school on Facebook. Some I have only reconnected with and then never kept up the communication because they are either not there often, or we just do not have much in common these days. I have met some in real life after meeting them again online and it was great to catch up with them after many years. As adults, we cannot pick up where we left off from 20 years ago, but we had some fun recounting all the childhood memories. I did add an old girl friend from school but she must have ignored me as she did not respond for some reason. We were never serious with each other at school, but we both had feelings for each other and both knew it. We were too shy and awkward though at that age!

Hello Neildc, I have been adding some former classmates from my elementary to my college days. recently i've added my group buddies in letran but it's not the same any more. I am satisfied with reuniting with them through facebook but when they started talking about a reunion, that's when i hesitated. i don't know as to why i should meet them though but that's gonna take a long time thinking. I've actually added my first crush, which i deleted later on

if my old friends would want to have a meet-up for a reunion or something, i really wish to come. but most of the time, it happens in manila and it's impractical for me to spend a lot of money for that simple occasion.

A girl that used to live across the street from my parents when I was in high school found me through another friend. We knew each other but not really. My parents kept me inside a lot. But we finally called each other and MAN I did not know what people were thinking of my family back then. Bless them they all got it right. Sure wish I had known then. So we call each other about once a month. Glad you are finding friends too! Its fun I still talk to my childhood sweetheart 40 years ago. WE make much better friends than we ever could have as married couple!

it's really fun and interesting finding old friends and talking with them after years of no communication. a lot of things had changed. and a feelings could not be the same too. but rekindling the relationship is much interesting than just finding them.

Well, that also happened to me. I saw several of my friends during my teen-aged years on facebook. We are getting in touch now thru fb and by texting. I even personally met one when I visited my kids in Manila. After 30 years we met and how he changed. He also told me that I also changed a lot. I don't know if I can still meet those who are already out of the country.

I have recently re united with most of my high school friends. I have also reunited with some of my elementary friends. Facebook is a wonderful place to meet old friends again. But sometimes I feel sad when they don't accept the invite and send me message of "Who are you?" It is strange, I don't think I changed so much physically, and it hurts when your close friends then seem to forget you after a few years.

I've found old friends and people I used to know and grew up some with from years ago on Facebook. Unfortunately none of the situations where I contacted, either immediately or down the road upon contacting them, really went that well I hate to admit.
