this makes me sick...I don;t understand how someone could do that.my cousin went trough this...on a routine check he found out that he had an illness and being desperate he went to a priest that he heard about from a friend. this priest was supposed to cure him. but what shocked me was wath the priest did in fact: first of all he said that if my cousin doesn;t do what he says he is going to die...you don;t tell that to someone who is ill. second he made him buy expensive medicins that in the end gave no result and I;m pretty sure that he got a part from the money my cousin paid for those medicins.

Well there is no big deal going to the priest cause he is a man of God, but what baffled me is that the priest demanded money from him infact, he even told him that if he refuse he will die. i guess that is clear to u that he is not a real man of God cause salvation is free.

That just sounds horrible. How could a priest do that. I am in fact getting goose bumps. What kind of a priest is that. I was expecting that he would just advise your cousin to pray to God and have faith and that your cousin be healed. I never thought he would prescribe medicine that he is not even a doctor. That is really terrible. Your cousin should stop seeing him. Your cousin should rather go to the doctor because telling someone that they might die might worsen the illness because they can get more stress. I hope your cousin will be okay. I'm sorry for your cousin. It is such a terrible priest.

he consulted the doctor first.the priest pretended to be a doctor...he sustained that he previosly worked as a doctor in austria and returned to my country...as I said you don;t do that to a ill person...tell him that he's going to die

Your cousin must have been worst feeling after that. Just console him and tell him that all he said are baseless. Tell him to have faith that he will heal and being positive will help him eventually recover. I'm really sorry for him.

he's ok now... I told him from the begining that he shouldn't thrust that person. in my opinion when you have a health problem you should find a good doctor and do what he says..because when you go from doctor to doctor each of them will have his own opinion. in this matter I think my cousin made a mistake. but he isn;t to blame...because after all when you are ill you would do anything to get healthy and spend how much money is needed...but the thing is that, that so called priest-doctor scared him out when he needed support and made him spend a fortune on medicins that had no effect

I get angry at this as well. I think it is horrible to pray on ones weakness or use their faith to convince them of the honesty behind ones work. I would have been very skeptical regarding a priest making someone buy expensive meds. That would be worrisome right away since he is not a doctor so he doesnt really know what reactions one can have from this. I also dont like to see the elderly people being taken advantage of.

I got skeptical from the begining when he told him that given the result of his analyses there are few chances that he would get out of that alive...and that he has to do what he says. now I don;t have any gurantee that he gets a percentage out of those medicins that he makes people buy. he reccomends certain medicins but first of all he reccomends a diet...the same diet no matter what is the illness that the person has. now I'm not saying is wrong to follow a diet from time to time..but you can find that diet on the internet you don;t have to go to him. this is another thing that made me doubt him. but first of all it was weird the fact that he said he used to work as a doctor in austria and came back here to work as a priest. I mean if he was that good why didn;'t he keep working in austria? why did he have to come back?

I think that is the unawareness among the people, who still believe in those priests. If someone is physically sick then what a priest is going to do? There are some priests who get famous somehow and people start believing them. They spend a lot of time and sometimes money also and they make some special conditions for the cure. The results are zero and they get what they want. Such people do nothing against them and get the bad feeling and experience with them.

I personally believe many people started to make business in the name of god and misusing it. And we have to fight against such malpractices to safeguard the money and human values.

Why didn't your cousin went to a hospital to be checked up by a medicine professional rather than going to a priest when in fact, as you said, he was suffering from illness? If you don't mind, what is this type of ill? Spiritual illness? Because he consulted a priest. I was just thinking.

Why your cousin believed that priest can heal him not a doctor? And why the priest diagnose other people without being a doctor. That really weird. Anyway in this world there is plenty of bad people who want to earn money using other people illness or bad luck. What we can do is be aware of such people and not trust them if they asking about money straight away without having any knowledge and experience.

I didn't mention the fact that he went to the doctor first and with the results went to that priest because he heard he is really good and he wanted to consult him too:). he pretended that he used to work as a doctor and he retired and became a priest because he had a "gift" from GOD...

Thats so sad! I feel some people make it business on the holy names. Its very bad to demotivate a person who is already down. And simply paying expensive medicines which not gonna turn fruitful is making person sick more. Am sorry for your cousin, better take him to doctor and he needs a better treatment. Hope he recovers soon!

In Bulgaria you have to pay the doctor even if your insurance covers everything! So you have to show how "grateful" you will be for them doing their job! And there is a legal tax too when the doctor exam you! Legal robbery!

Sorry if I will offend you but it's a stupid thing that you will consult a priest because of your illness? If I were your cousin I will consult a licensed doctor right away instead of going to the priest and perform some mumbo jumbo stupid things. Like other mylotter said that most of the healing priests are fake. I saw a video about psychic surgery at first glance I thought it was real but when someone exposed their trick, it's a terrifying truth that they are not God believers. They are all agents of satan .
