DID YOU KNOW: that the more friends you have here on myLot, the more responses you are likely to get when you start a discussion?
Why is getting a lot of responses good? Well, because then you get to have a really good discussion! Especially if everyone comments back to each other! Then the discussion really gets going! So, don't be shy people! Make some friends!

I couldnt have said it better, myself. I even bet that Aunt D would also agree with this. There are many discussions like this one, but it bears saying over and over. Maybe more people will be more active hosting their own discussions. You be a good host and comment back to your responders and they may also be inclined to respond back and actually talk back and forth.

I agree Pointless, and that is what I said too, that how Angelee wrote this is so clear, other than making a video for those who won't read it, I can't see how anyone can miss how to use this site..

I've learned a lot from Aunt D (Mysd) also... whenever I have a discussion that goes on and on forever or I'm on one that goes on and on I really earn good for it.

In order to enjoy myLot and stay here long term is to really delve in and have fun. During the fun moments it is when you really pick up a great deal about one another. I am glad you are having fun and always happy to be part of one of your discussions.

angelee--- If more people respond then the person who started the discussion can also post more responses. If one has more friends more people will read the discussion and may post their responses. so it will be good to have more friends. We should go through FAQ. More we write more we can earn.

You have a good point but I wish most people would truly discuss. There were a lot of discussion that I'm try interested in but for some reason, the one who started it just provided 1 reply and that's it. It would be fun if the discussions would continue to grow as it is.

That is what myLot is all about! DISCUSSING! ...and I think people would have much for fun (and possibly better earnings) if they would actually discuss instead of focusing on earnings and trying to calculate everything!

Haha, carmel is right. There are quite a few members who indeed reply back, because they like a good, long discussion just like you.

Before I go on and forget I need to write my own reply... No offense to some of the veterans here, but your post is one of the best ones to explain how mylot works, I am very impressed. If I was a newby, I would pick up on what you said here and run with it..Maybe that new member on the other post will see this, then she may have the confidence to just jump right in..

Well that's good advice to all of us, it is amazing how quickly you can find interesting discussions to respond to and as you say, your earnings creep up without you realizing it! The range of topics is endless, there really is something here for everyone.

Welcome rosedavis, not only was it good advice, she made it perfectly clear..I think Angelee has a future in being a spokesperson for mylot..Except she is shy, so maybe she can be a typeperson, she types it up and people read it..That is if they'll read it..

This is good to know especially for the beginners not give up. I know it seems little at first then it does build and your numbers in stars go up and up away soon you will at 9 or 10 stars. I hope to get to 10 stars soon. I am working on it. I never seem to have good questions that has many replys that is hard. I seem to answer more than ask. I think many mylotters are that way too.

Don't worry, we'll bring those stars up for you, but it may take time..I was a 9 for years and then suddenly another mylotter pointed out my 10..Yep, I am not very observant..

I hope to get to 10 stars one day as well! I would have probably already been there if I hadn't become a victim of abuse a little while back. My star dropped very low, and very quickly for no reason.
Someone just decided to neg me a lot, for "fun" I guess.

I completely agree with you!!
It’s so pointless starting a discussion and you only have one or two people commenting, and then when you comment back, they don’t comment again.. I couldn’t do that. I am constantly checking the discussions I responded to, to see if the writer has responded back!
Having a lot of friends on Mylot is also good because for the days when you don’t really feel like starting a discussion, and you’d rather just comment on other people’s for the day, the more friends you have, the more good discussions you are guaranteed without having to check todays top.. also adding to your earnings!

Yes., You are right ! I also used to respond to the discussions that my friends start, always first when I log in to my account. More the friends we have more is the probability of getting response to our discussions..

Besides that, it seems not boring posting in here, when we can chat about anything. It is really interesting to post in this site. Ok that is good news. I one person who gives response only when i have the time not that i dont care less. Shyness is also one of the reasons. Some lotters here are quite sensitive makes me have to find the words to put in so as not to misunderstood by other lotters.

Very true i know it. I never try to participate in discussions to earn i do it for fun and like to have fun with my friends yes it is the fact if you have lot of friends and interact with them nicely there are chances that you will get more responses on your discussion.
In the starting i was bit of shy person and don't use to comment back if i get a response on my discussion after having placed one comment on a response
but lately i have changed my self and try to comment back and always try to further the discussion till i don't get the response.It gives me pleasure and it has effected my earnings too.Now i don't believe to respond to many discussions but i try to stick to fewer discussions but interact well with others.
