True Stories of Truely Evil Animals

Most people who know me know I love animals....that being said, I have seen a few movies that tell the true stories of really very mean animals. And as shocking as this may sound, I either am "happy" when these animals were finally killed (happy only because if they didn't die more people would), or if the animal hasn't been killed yet, I think it should be hunted down...a lot of people who know me ma be suprised to hear me say that (or see me type it
) but I think most would understand if they've seen these stories.
One of the movies I'm talking about is The Ghost in the Darkness. This is based on the true story of two african lions that killed around 130 people in 9 months!! These lions were smart, and they were cruel. They weren't killing for any natural reason, they were killing for the same reason murderers kill, they enjoy it. In my opinion these lions had to have a SERIOUS mental issue going on...and another amazing fact about this story? They were both male lions...they usually can't live together peacefully. When the lions were killed their bodies were sent to a museum, follow the link below to see them and read the full story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsavo_maneaters
Another bad animal I learned about is Gustave, a killer crocodile in Africa. He is believed to be the largest crocodile that has ever been seen, measuring 20 feet and weighing in at 1 ton. He is believed to have killed 300 people, and he wasn't killing out of hunger too. He killed just to kill. And he killed along African rivers (the natives lifelines) so people were afraid to go near the water, even though they needed to to survive. There have been attempts to capture him, but he showed extreme intelligence in avoiding these traps. A movie called Primeval came out in 2007, and it was all abotu Gustave. After seeing the movie, I wrote a paper in highschool stating why I think the US should make efforts to hunt down and kill this croc, which could live for MANY MANY more years, and killing many many more people. Click the link for the movie trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNTOJ9PFwPc.
Another movie I saw that was based on a true story is called Black Water (another killer croc). The movie changed a lot of the details about who the people were, and how they came to be in this situation (stuck in a tree with a croc hunting them)...but they kept a lot of stuff from real life in the movie. Perhaps the thing that stuck with me the most (really happened and was in movie) was that the crocodile killed one of the friends, and then brought it up in its jaws to showcase it to the remaining people. This movie was good for something that hadn't been given a lot of advertsiment. Follow this link for a short article on the movie and the true story. http://www.ntnews.com.au/article/2008/04/11/3842_ntnews.html
The last movie I'm going to mention is yet another croc movie called Rogue. It says this movie is based on actual events, but I don't know how loosely...I'm not sure this situation actually happen, but there was a crocodile that was known for attacking boats. Check out the following link for the movie trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur7CpX16xXE

I don't know much about crocs, but lions, like you said, males can't live together in peace and yet these two did and kills people for no reason..Why do you suppose this happened? I mean I guess animals can have birth defects like people do, but people, when they kill, usually isn't from a birth defect, but from being abused themselves one way or another...

There were several reasons. One was a plague that decimated their normal food source. And then humans came into their area to build a bridge. The humans became an alternative food source. If the humans put a few cattle out the lions might have taken them for food instead.

They were not killing for good, the killed day after day. 130+ people in 9 months...that isn't killing ut of hunger. And at the beginning of the movie the narrator says that "even the most amazing things in this movie happened." One of the scenes of the lions attacking all the patients in the makeshift hospital is horrible...they killed a lot of men in one night, that is not for food. And they leave a lot of the bodies, they don't take them for food.
I think it's a total mental issue-the fact that these two male lions hunted together, and the fact that they killed so many people-all mental issues.

Wow! I just read the link you gave about the lion, and feel sorry for both the victims and the lions. I love cats, maybe that's why I feel that way for the lions. Anyway, killer crocodiles are really scary too. I wonder if, maybe you could add more of these killer animals in your list, like sharks and maybe tigers, if there exist such.

Yeah I felt bad for everyone too. In the movie, I was sad during the scene where the second lion was killed because he didn't die right away (but he still continued to attack). But I just hate to see ANY animal in prolonged pain.
While a shark attack is very deadly, they are rare...and I don't think there is a story of one shark hunting down countless people just to kill them. Whenever one of the rare shark attacks do occur, it isn't usually done 'just to do it.' The shark is usually hunting for food, and more often then not people believe the shark mistoke the human as a seal or another prey it usually eats.
Tiger attacks are also deadly, I just haven't come across a story of a tiger killing a bunch of people for no reason.

Oh I can't watch Jaws, too scary! But it isn't based on any true events. I love whales....octopi(?) scare me too. But oh no, I love whales. Everytime I read a story or see a video about people who have to save a whale that is intangled in something I'm always like, I WOULD SO DO THAT! lol. And there are two sharks that don't bother me too much...Nurse sharks and 'Whale Sharks.' Both are just suppose to be very nonaggressive and very docile.

The problem is that humans are encroaching into the animals territory. My mom had a friend who was killed by a mountain lion
. The lions are coming lower and lower out of the mountains because people are building more and more in the foot hills. The problem actually starts with the deer. The deer are the lions natural food source. The deer are driven lower in search of food and lions follow.
As kids we used to play in the area by the American River. We were the last street before the river area. It was a mile or so to the actual river and the whole area was wild. What a great life. Freedom to roam. Freedom to play without worries. Rope swings and forts in the bushes, miles of trails for riding horses. Now that they are building higher up near the river, it's not safe for kids to play there without serious supervision. Even adults need to be cautious. My parents said they even saw mountain lions in their back yard drinking from the pool. Their vicious house cat actually chased them away. Thankfully the mountain lions weren't hungry or the cat would be have been dinner.

I get what you're saying about the animal's territory being taken over...but normal animals would not have acted in the same manner that these two lions did. They didn't eat the people they killed, and they killed the highest number ever recorded (I believe) of one (or in this case 2) animals attacking and killing people. Most animals would retreat and try to find land elsewhere, especially if there were a lot of people around.
I wish we could all live in our own habitats...but people have to expand to support our growing number...and unfortunatly our wild animal 'friends' numbers are decreasing
I do wish that wasn't the case...you'd think there'd be enough room for all of us on Earth!

You didn't mention about those killer shock in the lately new release shock night. Killer shock and piranha also are animals that kill people, and they should be hunted for the safe of human beings too. So, we are still living in a world of danger, and many cautions we should know about those animals.

Yes but there are not any true stories of one specific piranha, or a couple of them, hunting peoples just to kill them. Yes piranha's will most likely attack anyone who swims into it's territory...but that's it...if you're on land you're safe. But piranha's are not really that dangerous, they are not a huge threat to us. There are a lot of myths about piranha's and what they are capable of.
Sharks are def. dangerous, but only when they attack. Despite stories in the news, shark attacks on humans are rare. There is a movie based on a true story about a shark called The Reef. I have that movie on my netflix, but I haven't seen it yet.

I love animals too, but I think that animals kill in self defense, just like what we humans do. But then again, I guess you'll get rogue and disturbed ones too.
I didn't know that crocs and lions could be so smart. Cool!

Yeah, these animals were def. not killing in self defense...or for any natural reason. I guess animals can be cruel serial killers too.
Oh man, I saw Primeval and if the real life croc is really that smart...it's scary! I've always known animals could be clever, they can see things and work it out. I've seen examples of this myself.

i strongly believe there is no such thing as a truely evil animal. for an animal to be evil it has had to have been provoked by a human. humans are naturally and deeply evil. animals were on this earth first and should be reaspected for it. just because a movie says it is a true story that does not mean all of it is true. hollywood movies can put one true detail in the movie and be able to legally call it "a true story" animals are the only beings in the world that have truely purely good hearts. humans should take notes.

I def. know the difference between movies that are "inspired by true stories" (which usually mean 1-5% of it is true lol) and then those movies that ARE the true stories. The lion movie IS a true story.
And if an animal attacks AFTER being provoked by a human, they are not evil...they can't be blamed for that attack because they were provoked. It's animals that attack without being provoked that are bad. But animals go from bad to worse when they begin to attack and kill people for NOOOO reason.

That was sad both for animals and human, I love animals too and as much as possible I don't want any animals killed just like in human but if they really have to put down so be it. If animals are like this that eat human, they really have to be put down or maybe there is any cure to their behavior. I don't like crocs and snake, they have the least sympathy on me.

I like snakes, but I'm not a big fan of crocodiles or sharks (except whale 'sharks' and Nurse sharks). But I still wouldn't want to see any of these animals hurt of they are 'innocent.' I absolutly hate hunting/fishing, especially shark fishing.
When animals get to the point where they are killing people just to kill them, then there is no good reason for them to live. I'll use Old Yellar as an example...I LOVE Old Yellar, but once he's at a point where he doesn't care about his people's life anymore....the only thing to do is put him down (OMG I watched that the other night and cried my eyes out!!! lol)
