what do you do to relieve your stress???

Hello MYLOTTERS, I have found that when i am stressed i like to sit alone in open at top floor of my house for an hour that relaxes my mind.I like to talk to friends also when i am stressed.What do you do in this situation?.

I like to go on YouTube, find my favorite people and watch any new videos they might have uploaded. I also like to take walks once in a while. However, to be honest, my biggest stress reliever is going to the shooting range. I'm not sure why, but shooting is something I simply love to do. It is getting pretty expensive though.

Hello Kia, Shooting range may be thats your hobby and you like to shoot away your stress hehehe.But doing what you like most can relieve your stress.But i feel to go to natural place like sitting near the bank of river and watching birds and other natural things are the best thing to relieve stress and sometimes i do it.

Hi svg Depends on what I am stress about but find that taking a walk to clear my mind usually helps somewhat. It if gets really bad I find being alone helps me sort things out clearer in my mind. I can't have anyone ask me over and over what is wrong as thinking out loud makes me stress even more.

Lucky for me there are a lot of ways I can cope with stress. And these ways I use depending on the situation. So, I can: listen to music, sing, cry, exercise, eat (unhealthy, I know!), pray, read the bible, take a long walk, tear a lot of papers (this is good when I'm really stressed and angry), sleep ( true), rant at MyLot (), call, text or chat with my friend, write in my journal, finish the dang job, etc.

I actually do sometimes at the office and with my friends. First thing I tell them is to breathe slowly. And then I let them rant and rant about what they're feeling. Somehow, after ranting, I almost always feel them start to calm a bit.

Hi sj Its weird.. But whenever I feel stressed, I used to open my laptop and watch cartoons. I am having few anime cartoon saved on my laptop(all action and adventure related) and I saw them very frequently. Otherwise I used to be here on mylot.. By spending time here with friends always feels relaxation.

When I' stresses, I either sleep or go out and roam around. I sleep because its tiring to think of your stressor. Of course, no matter how much effort you exert to forget something, that won't surely go away. After my sleep, I am relieved a little or sometimes, totally relieved. Sleeping helps me relax my system or my mind. Or the other one, I roam around. Wherever possible. May it be a mall or just the long road that would intersect with the other road if you've gone far enough. Like in your own drama movie. . If you get tired, then, you can go home and again, just sleep.

Yeah, there's a great tendency that you will think of the one you're worrying about when you're trying to sleep. But, I just don't know with my case. During the first few minutes, I think about that, then, maybe I just get tired of thinking about that then eventually fall asleep. If you are an impulsive buyer, don't go to malls when you roam around. Maybe you won't even notice if you've spent a lot already.

hehehe i don't go to malls even i am not stressed because i don't spend much on the stuffs my wife does the shopping for me. Yes true thats the reason i don't able to sleep when i am stressed as all those thoughts keep on revolving and making me more stressed.

I usually listen to music or take a nap. I have found that music is such a great stress reliever. i just listen to my favourite music with my doors closed and yes that feels really good. I think it depends on people though, and every one has their own ways of dealing with stress.

When I am stressed, I will put some good music on and exercise. I am trying to lose weight at the moment, and it helps me to cope with my stress if I am able to go for a run or even just dance to some music with a good beat to it. I have lost almost five stones to date, and it is certainly due to the fact that I am a lot less stressed than I have been in the past. Also, having a nice hot bath is helpful and this is something that I need to start taking advantage of a little bit more than I have been doing lately.

Hello Gemma, Yes MUSIC is the best and the common way to relieve stress and most of the people do it.That way you can always keep yourself free from stress.I have not tried taking bath in the stress but definitely i will try and check it out. Its good to know that that at present you remain less stressed than you used to be in the past.

Hi sjvg Normally, I come with stress and confusions... but I cannot do anything much to avoid them. So when in stress, I do different things at different times and it is not just one boring step all the time When it is raining, and I am better in health - I would get out in the rain. When it is quite hot - I take a bath, when there is no such scope, watching a movie on this PC works fine... Normally however, now there is nothing that can keep me stressed for more than a couple of hours at max. but a few years back, I was much stressed and remained upset for long.

Got married in 2007, was bedridden for 8 months in 2008 and during this attempted to kill myself, have been ill and jobless since then. Arent these reasons enough to be stressed. But then dear, I realized that life is what you get only once. I can either sulk or live my way. I chose to live myway. I accepted the illness as a part of me. The fact that I will never work at an office and stay indoors all throughout - I started working online. These made my life easier and I now am more positive and so there is less stress now. And yes, I can take up on so many options to get rid of my stress only because of the fact that I stay at home all day, all night (oh yes, there are days and times when I do go to my parents, to the hospital and also my little orphan friends) that makes me more prepared for stress removal Thanks friend. I will surely seek your help when I am stressed

i have found that even 5 minutes to myself in a quiet room is enough for me to destress. I am not getting that 5 minutes very often lately, and could definitely use it as my child is screaming in my ear.

I just watch television or listen to music. Sometimes I exercise and I always listen to music when I'm exercising and watch tv so it's a perfect combination lol. When I'm on my tredmil, I always listen to my ipod and watch TV in the background. Sometimes talking to friends is relaxing for me as well but sometimes they just add on so much more to my stress lol. Depends what mood their in.

when i m stressed then i just go to my mom,and just put my head on her shoulder and just want to sleep with him,my moms is very lovebale and caring lady,she is very sweet ,after spending time with my mom,and some sleeping i feel fresh,and a lot of time ,when i stressed i am just going to my garden,and spend a lot of time there for freshment

I pray when I am stress out. Next is to try to deviate my mind by doing other things that I love to do like cooking, walking or listening to music. Exercise is another way of relieving stress. When I sing my favorite songs or play my computer games my mind is relieve of the stress until I find a way to deal with what is causing my stress. There are some causes of stress that you cannot do anything to resolve like when the cause is the way others treat you even if you are a victim of the situation. All I do is to learn to set it aside. Not allowing it to affect my day. There are more things in life that can make me look forward to the day.

When I am stressed, sometimes I sing. I don't care if I have a bad voice. Just that singing lets out that stress and relaxes me after. :)
