Males as victims Rape??

Rape is a horrible violent act of pain and power against the victim. The victim has no power, especially if a weapon is used against the person, or in the case of a child, fear is the weapon used against them so they won't tell who raped them, if they knew who it was. I feel the worst for the children of rape. They don't have a chance to protect themselves... and of course I feel bad for all rape victims, because they are usually attacked by surprise and have no chance to get away or fight back. I do believe in Karma; therefore, even if they don't get punished in this life, I believe they will get theirs sometime.

hi LK, In our country if there is a male victim of rape he will hesitate to sue the rapist because of some many reasons it is not easy to prove in court that you've been rape Plus maybe they don't want to drag their names in this kind of scandal But one thing is for sure everyone can be a victim old or young, man or woman Evil don't make choices he takes chances. happy mylotting

i guess this is not really something new. as pedophile had been a story of the past that i guess still happens in the secret, we even heard stories of male rapes in the prison cells.

Hi Letran, i ever read about Phedo and there is some exist here in my country. family is the basic of mental development. if every family have a strong basic mental, maybe the phedo can detect earlier so it won't grow to be danger for other people

I also saw the news about this and it's just sickening. The victim could have done better. I'm mad that he did not took quick action about it. Instead he went back to the abuser and got molested again. I know there's psychological matter involved here. The victim may have needed attention and found that with the said rapist. So it's maddening. Males have been a victim of rapes or molestation for a very long time but often disregarded. It's time to take action about this. Joking aside, I think there should be a law for males' protection. Just like the republic act for women and children protection. Hehe. shadow41

Hi Letran Knight: It's truth that men can be victims of rape but it's difficult to measure this situation because men usually don't tell that they have been victim of such a terrible crime because they feel ashamed to tell and they also thing that people will label them as gays for "letting someone rape them". Male victims of rape are usually young boys, molested by an adult male. They use fear and shame to convince the victim not to tell anyone about what happened. The abuser is usually a person the child trusts, like a relative or a neighbour. It's a terrible experience, which could make that child to have serious issues later. In the worst case, he could turn into an abuser in adult life or he could take his own life.

hello LK, This is happening and yes, only few men come in the open to file case against the rapist, especially with kids. Kids are too afraid to ask for help when they are threatened by their rapist. Rape victims suffers mental and physical abuse.

I saw that in news then I think it was also part of Ted Failon's segment. That is actually my first time to hear about male raped that he was raped by g@ys? Am I right? then yeah his reproductive organs hurts that much. This is my first time to hear in a sense of being a teenager or adult ones, unless if I wasn't able to hear something that he have experienced that during his childhood days. I am only hearing the pedophile cases even the alleged accusation to MJ before. This is such a horrible thing but on a harsh side I think this must be a consequence for the male rapist. I mean not to the extent that this must be a sanction for them but in a sense that they must experienced it to know how much painful it is on what they did. When I've heard of what happened to his reproductive organ I could totally imagine how painful it is even for a fact that I am not a male. This is not only painful physically but mentally, emotionally and as they also feel that their dignity suffered already.

Hello LK! I really believe there are loads of cases that never get discussed and or in teh media. I think the reason is that it is not usually common for males to speak about this type of bad activity. It is just a society mindset and it should not be gender differentiate. Rape is rape and it is so wrong to whomever it happens to. Especially when they are small defenseless and innocent children. Sad because I feel they should and nothing to be afraid and or ashamed of as the perpetrators need to be caught. Most horrifying is that the perpetrators get away with it for years harming others in the process. It is sad for anyone to go through this and I have heard of a few cases here where while the rape occurred when they were small boys they grow up and later are able to speak out about it. Sadly in the interim, while growing up they are psychologically and emotionally destroyed.

It's unusual but it happens. I think it is more mentally traumatic is the rape victim is male because they will never admit it and they are in constant denial with themselves and that incident. It doesn't help when the male ego does the denial for the sake of not admitting that people, whether male or female, have weaknesses and accepting them isn't going to make someone less of a person. The only thing that disgusts me is that this crime is done to children who are so vulnerable and not ready to see how cruel the world really is. The incident robs them not only of their innocence but their childhood as well. They won't trust anybody because they feel that they will be victimized again. This only points out that people are sometimes sick in their minds and they are ruining other people's life and dreams. I don't why people do this and it's up to profiles but it makes teh world a really darker place.

If you only watch an old movie in titled: "Too Young The Hero" there you could find an underage boy (mistaken to be an adult) wanted to become an allied navy soldier of World War II.... he's been imprisoned by such a mistake and he's been r4ped by the navy big structured body prisoners...

Rape is always crime. Victims can be different age and gender. Rape should be punish as this is crime against another person. Rape can leaves scars for life even after few years from incident victim can feel the same fears as it was happened the they before.

Lots of people get away with rape its so sad, I think people who rape others have some mental problem in the head
