I love Muscadine grapes! I bought a quart size plastic container, from Walmart last week. I remember eating these type of grapes when I was five years old. When I was younger, my family members and I would go next door and eat a fruit that we called, "bullets off of the grape tree/bush." They were bronze/olive green and they tasted just like muscadine grapes. Now, I know what the name of these grapes that I used to eat are actually called. These type of grapes are deep plum or bronze/olive green, in color, and it is tangy and bittersweet inside of it. It also has seeds in it too. It is very delicious, plus it is more nutritious than red grapes! I have a link that I would like to share with you all that explains more about the basics and health benefits of muscadine grapes. Please refer to the link below: Thank you for reading! http://www.powersupplements.com/resveratrol/muscadine.html

Well, this is like the third time and hopefully it will post this time. I have seen these type grapes before and have eaten them. THey are good but I think I like the green seedless better. These probably have iron in them which would be good for woman monthly. Happy Mylotting.

Hi, celticeagle. I love green seedless grapes too. I do prefer the seedless grapes more better, all because of it having no seeds. Iron is a mineral that is very much needed for our bodies, so I know that I will enjoy eating green seedless grapes more now.

I was not sure as to what Muscadine grapes are until I read the link. Yes, I have eaten them before and liked it. I prefer grape juice to the whole fruit though. However, now have reduced on the juice thing. Thanks for the discussion.

Hi, mimpi1911. I love grape juice too. Especially, when the grape juice is deeper into color. You are very welcome for this discussion.

I am not sure if I have ever tried them or not. I have never heard of the name before. I have tried Concord grapes for sure though.

Hi, stephcjh. So, you have actually eaten Concord grapes before? I have never eaten these type of grapes before. I have drunk Concord grape juice though. This juice drink is very delicious so I know that the fruits are as tasty just the same.

Yes. I love muscadines. I have eaten them all of my life. They grow wild here. I grandpa had muscadine vines all over his land when I was young. We really enjoyed them on our visits from Chicago. My brother has them on his land also, along with his peach trees, apple trees, plum trees, a lemon tree. So I love going to his place and treating myself to all these different fruits. And I always keep a big bowl of fruit around. Good reasonably priced. No charge!

Hi, chrystaltears. I know what exactly what you mean. Our next door neighbors welcomed my family and I into their backyard so many of times. Me, my sister and cousins would play with their daughter and her siblings. In their backyard, there was bushes of grapes. We always ate these grapes all of the time. It seems like that was our main reason for going over to play at her house. So, this week, I ate these same grapes from Walmart, and they taste exactly like the grapes that I used to eat when I was, about five to six years old. Our neighbors called them "bullets". I don't know why. I have found out that they really are called, Muscadine Grapes.

Hi dear, Thanks for sharing your info through the link. Just like you, when I was a child my Papa also used to bring many different type of grapes and taste all of them differently when it was in the peak seasons. But these days we get more varieties and bigger sized ones. But while comparing with the olden days grapes, these days what we are getting is just exaggerated and not so tasty. Old ones were really good and what we get here are mainly produced for commercial purposes and the quality cannot compare that of the later ones. Thank-s

Hi, thanks1961. That is true, so many foods that was so delicious back then, has changed and it is not as tasty as it used to be. I guess that is why so many of people will grow their own fruits and vegetables without adding so much of fertilizers that will take away the naturalness of the produce.

Howdy ma'am! So you're mind is still on food I see. Makes me hungry again. Muscadine Grapes? I never have heard of that till now. I just eat grapes but I never have tried to find out if what grape it is. It doesn't matter what color it is or what size it is I just gobble them up, but I'll try to find some time looking that up in the internet. Grapes huh?

No, I've never eaten muscadine grapes. I prefer the seedless grapes though, so I don't think I would buy these.
