I love chocolates a lot too but I have controlled my cravings. I was so addicted to Twix couple months back and always found buying the big pack of it and stuffing it in the refrigerator. I ate so much god!! really The easy solution is to not buy them anymore. I used to want to eat so much for somedays but after that I just forgot about them. Now I just eat them sometimes and they taste heavenly, just as I remembered them to be.

For me it was easy not to buy too. Whenever we went to marts, sis and mom did the grocery shopping, i just ran to the cloth department and spent time there.

Sounds like you might be snacking on chocolate..maybe you have a bowl of M&M's within reach,or chocolate bars in easy access..I'm thinking you could put your stash in the wardrobe, then any time you wanted some, you'll be looking at the clothing you'll need to replace if your willpower wasn't in control? Maybe hang a favourite outfit you wouldn't want to grow out of in a prominent place as a reminder..good Luck!

Has it made things more difficult to decide what to wear,or do you just wear less?

Well for me chocolate is a splurge. So it's rare I buy any because it's not on the top of my list of things to buy with my limited budget for groceries. You could trade in the chocolate for something else like gum.

yeah maybe. that is an interesting idea. gum is way cheaper anyway lol.

I´m addicted to chocolate so I never buy any. Not a single tiny bit. If someome gives me some, I hoard it and eat it by myself, all at once, not sharing. But it´s only if it is a present. I will not buy chocolate. I know what chocolate addiction is.

It was the only way I could do it. Not many people understand addictions, even if they are addicted to something else. I could eat chocolate forever, so I don´t buy. A friend once told me why didn´t I keep just a small bar just for cravings. I said I could not keep it. It would be gone before I put it away.

You can try eat fruits and veges instead of choc. I guess people love sweet stuff that is why it is hard to avoid eating sweet foods like chocolates. The effect of eating too much sweet is hypertension and your blood sugar will go up. Maybe you can try start eating a small piece of it everyday until the time that you will just try eat it in some occasions only.

Your welcome. If in case you cannot avoid eating chocolates, you try to look for less sugar content. There are also healthy chocolates but they don't taste like the ordinary chocolates you find on stores. There are healthy stores that sell healthy stuff like Chocolates and supplements. God bless!

If you cut it out completely you will crave it more. This has always been a hard time of the year for me as far as candy goes, then the Thanksgiving and Christmas baked goods pile on on top of it. You need to not have it too much in your house. I keep Dove dark chocolate promises in my refrigerator. If I am having cravings I eat one piece a day. After a while, I do not crave it because I know I can have it. You need to up your exercise as well. Good luck, it is hard.

lol...i agree it is extremely hard to just cut them out of my diet altogether. i think i may try that. only one a day of my favorite chocolate candy and i should be back to my normal weight sooner than later

Have a look at the amount of calories that there are in your chocolate bar, and replace it with something with fewer calories in it. If you start off by doing this then you will find that you are not putting on as much weight as you might have been before. You should also remember that exercise is important, and if you do half an hour's exercise per day then you might find that you are able to maintain your weight whilst eating chocolate rather than putting weight on during it. Cutting back should happen in gradual stages, and there is no reason that you should have to give it up altogether.

Simple. All you need to do is to stop eating chocolates and to limit your food intake in general. Chocolate can be addicting. If you do not discipline yourself, you might reach a point of no return. You have to simply stop now.

I suggest you shift to dark chocolates. I think the crunch bar has too much sugar in it and that is what is making you gain weight. Dark chocolate on the other hand is much healthier. Just my two cents advice.

I really understand you , birdie816. Some things are effecting parts of our brain that are about addictions. Chocolate do that thing like many other thing. Maybe you can try to exchange thoughts about chocolate with thoughts about other things that interest you. Every time you think about chocolate , think about how bad it is for your teeth and health. Then think about other things that you like.Try to find better things that distract you. You can also treat chocolate as a prize for doing sport and losing calories. The best you can do is just not have any chocolate around. After reading a discussion about salads here , on mylot , I really wanted this morning to make me a healthy salad of vegetables and that's what I did. It made me being interested in better things instead of chocolate and I have a lot of chocolate in my home. My dad brought many kinds of chocolate from work for the "rosh hashana" holyday.

were on the same problem too! i love chocolates-and its making me fat! esp. during the time when i still have my reviews-i ate chocolate a lot because it helps me sustain to my studies due to its stimulant effect.. after that i cant barely withdraw from it and i know that i must slow down in eating chocolates, so what i did was i didn't cut it off immediately but i shift into eating a lot of high fiber foods. and im telling you, fruits, veges and other high fiber foods could help you a lot esp when you aimed to become more sexy..!

Chocolates are delicious and I am fond of their flavors too. But I am not addicited to it. I suppose you can send all cholates in your house and working place to your friends or collegues, and stay far away from the chocolates place when you go to the supermarket. It might be a little upset in the beginning but I hope it can help.

If you can't stop eating chocolate, try to be more active physically. Jog for an hour everyday and lift weights 3 times a week so you can burn those extra calories you put in your body.
