What counts mainly is money saved and not money earned.

Though amount of money earned is a matter in life, yet it may or may not count how much you earn, rather it always counts how much you save because it would make your life safe when you will be in no position to carry on physical labour to earn money. Am I wrong in my observation?

While saving money is important, you should spend a little bit, but make sure you can afford it, also, debt is bad and you should not go into debt if at all possible.

Well, there is a saying that goes, "a dollar earned is a dollar saved." So, I think you have it right. While your working and earning, always put money away for the future because it comes faster then you think it does. Then that money will be a safety net later in life.

Saving money is important. Earning money to live on is also. If you can live under your means then you have it made and can save alot. And being frugal and saving on a daily basis is also very important. Setting goals is always good and being willing to give up and make do is also.

I always count how much I will save, and how much I am willing to save too. Some people earn a lot of money, but they might spend it all in a moment, and I just want to tell them, even though you make a lot of money, if you can't learn to save, it is none. So, saving is a virtue.

Although it is difficult for some to save these days, it is important to do so early on in life. Yes once one is unable to physically work they can then rely on their savings. Sadly though the average person has so many issues in life the impede them from being able to save any amounts to last throughout retirement.

hi friend, I think it is a wrong idea to think that saving money is the most important thing only, why? because the amount of money we can save is proportionate to our earnings. We have to concentrate first on earning and making money (legally and fairly)as much as possible, after earning a lot that's the time we should be wise with our money. So apportion how much goes to savings, how much has to be reinvested to make more, how much is for immediate need, if there is really an excess then you can use some for personal enjoyment or give to charity to help other people which BTW is one of the most fulfilling thing to do, if you have excess to share then I think that is the real measure of success.
Saving money is good but don't put everything there and think that it will make you secure later on, inflation might catch up and it might not be much years later but rather invest some so it grows, use some to enjoy life and enjoy it with love ones because that is what earning is all about

Hi Doctor,
I agree with you. I have seen so many people around me who earned a lot of many bit spent lavishly as well and the stage when they are not able to earn are suffering. It is must for every one to save something for the bad times of life.
