But Addiction is a bad thing, right? sometimes it can compromise a lot, time, energy, sleeping habits ( most specially that one ). though a lot of people have proven this site is addictive, i think i need to set myself a balance from now on. To be honest there are moments where I write for the sake of Quality of posting but most of the time i got no clue as to what I really say, maybe i forget it after putting it here.. I think what I have lost when i got addicted was the essence of truly expressing myself. hard to believe but i always play safe, but i think it's reasonable to be more civil than poking on some one which i will regret later on. Anyways, we all have different ways to express ourselves, but we are addicted to this site too. but i like to be in mylot when i have appropriate time..

If there is a website for me to be addicted to then I would be happy it is mylot. I was addicted to facebook and spent at least 12 hours a day on it. I was addicted to the games and of chatting with friends of course. But then I found mylot and realized I can come on here and make new friends and have quality discussions and make a few dollars doing so. I am not addicted to mylot but would not be upset if I was.

What game are you addicted to? I was addicted to sorority life, farmville and cityville at one point. Now my games of choice are slot machine games. But I have not been on fb for about a week now. Mylot is taking up my time.

I set a goal for myself of how many posts I try to write each day, for me, it's 25, but you could set it at any reasonable number, that way, you're not on for too long.

Hello Reviewmedia, Hmmm. not a bad idea, it's really hard to choose the best topic that you want probably ten to twenty discussions that i responded. twenty five sounds good with upload pictures, maybe, who knows i might earn big with out putting much effort into it, except with post quality. have a nice day

I used to be so engrossed with mylot spending endless hours in front of the computer without realizing the impact it caused on my weight. When I noticed that I am growing sideways fast as a result of sitting for long hours without flexing my muscles I have to force myself to reduce my time in mylot. That is the reason why I am less active now compared to when I first joined in.

Hello Zandi, I hope anytime this afternoon i would use the treadmill again and exercise, it's not something that i do pretty much often now a days. there's nothing wrong with reducing you're time with mylot unless there are moments too that you need more time to loose weight rather than mylotting. have a nice day.

I'm not addicted. Just obsessed. Now give me my myLot before I slap you with a trout. No seriously, there are a lot of times where we have addiction in many parts of life. There are times where people can pull away from addiction just enough to really function as a normal person in life. At least that would be the theory anyway. Of course, with myLot, any social website of the Internet for that matter, we can really get wrapped up into it to say the very least. The time is rather burning through a lot of things for sure and you never truthfully know how much time you spend. I think that really though there are times where I need a mental health break and a place like myLot causes that, to respond to a few topics and such. Its all about time management in the end, an area where many people fail.

Hello megamatt, I guess i can also say to myself that am also obsessed, but not that much thouuegh. i think my brain is the onces burning all the time instead of my own sweat because i have to think a lot of soomething to say. you're right, management is the key, but sometimes my problem is being fast enough. have a nice day.

Hi LK I guess surely many of us are addicted to this site. but yes we having our own offline works too. I was absent on mylot from last two days because I was away from home. So surely I liked to be here whenever I get free time. I guess I am giving enough time to my offline work.. But surely sometime this addiction effects for sure.

Hello akp100, I always have free time but i got other things to do in my free time as well. addiction is never good even with online earnings. we gotta give it a break every once in a while. when we start earning and start getting addicted, it's something that makes us divert our attention most of the time too. have a nice day.

I am a newbie here...just joined yesterday and I have read so many discussions about mylot being addictive. I don't know yet because I haven't spent a lot of time here yet. I am sure once I reach payout and see that I can earn a lot if I want to, I will probably get addicted. I obviously signed up to mylot because I want to earn some money. So I am hoping that with consistant work I will earn here every month. I may not pay a lot of attention in the beginning as to what I post because right now I just want to see how much I can make in a month. I may get addicted just because of that. hee hee My mom is a member of the site and she is almost always on the computer in mylot. So I thought I would give it a try as well and see if I like it as much as she does. I hope I get addicted to mylot so it will feel easy to earn money here. lol Happy mylotting my friend, littlemissy here

I think you could be a better mylotter and lose addiction at the same time. I honestly find a lot of people here who are obviously here for the money alone (well, I guess 90%-99% of people are) but some are obvious because there are topics where you could feel that they don't really care what others have to say. I think addiction forms a different type of mylotter. There are those who just enjoy typing their worries away and just about type anything under the sun. That's good for earning and it's good for self expression, however, if we could no longer function in the real world because all we do is type or interact here, then for sure there are ill-effects in the long run. Further, there are also those who could express themselves well. Discuss a lot of discussions with obvious quality, yet remain to be unaddicted to the site. I could say these people are not addicted because they don't spend all their time here. But still, there's a factor of availability of time - of course if you don't have a job to go to, you would have more time here, but if the case is similar to most who are working then those couldn't spend more time here - even if they wanted to. But I clearly think that if you are addicted at the same time you earn a lot here, then why stop? It's better you are addicted with something that pays you rather than doing things that only demean your health, make you pay, and happiness is temporary. I say, who cares? Go for MyLot addiction! Hahahaha.. Have a great MyLot addiction! It's way way better than Facebook addiction.. anytime!

Hello laydee, how are you? I know those kind of people, most of them either spend their time in politics or religion. probably soome issues that led to a lot of different debates which concludes into negative ratings as a result not disagreed argument post. I am not really stopping, i really know that i get addicted if i stick around until late in the morning, that's no longer healthy but I strongly agree with you that it's better than facebook addiction, but i still like that fb game

i really believe that mylot addiction is the best and the safest addiction in the world. but the best thing about addiction to mylot is, you need to make it for yourself that you do not forget to do or give proper attention to offline works, our family and our selves too.

hello LK, I miss mylot for many days. I am not active here for many days due to offline works. I almost didn't make it to the payout this month, but good thing I was able to make it at the nick of time (whew!) I don't want to miss a month without my pay-out. have a good day dear brother

Hi Letran Knight: That's actually the reason why I am only working on the site when I really feel interested on sharing a point, posting for just the good of posting is not really good. I try to give quality posts when I m here and take my time to participate, also I make an effort when I'm choosing the discussion where I want to participate to make my best there. ALVARO

Hello LK, This is really i feel too.I was addictive to MYLOT when i joined and i realised that i had to compromise with my offline works & sleep but recently i have made a balance for my other works and MYLOT.It is relief now that i am giving importance to offline works over MYLOT because i always remember that due to offline job only i will be able to feed myself and my family so why should i neglect it. And whenever i feel boring i come to MYLOT for enjoying time with friends for which MYLOT is meant for.

Yes, Mylot is very addictive, sometimes it makes me lose track of time and I find that my eyes are straining and turning red because of too much staring contests with the computer screen. I also found out that the more I type, the more mistakes I make because my fingers are getting too tired from typing so much on Mylot. But we really do need to rest the body and mind and we have to keep our lifestyles balanced. That's why every time I log in to computer, I give Mylot about an hour and then I go and do something else. I'm always constantly checking the time just in case. So say I log in into my computer twice a day, I'll only spend about 2 hours on Mylot. Sometimes planning restrictions might help you.

Hello Triple, spending on two hours only makes me post a little response from different discussion, sometimes i need hours before i get tired of posting. not easy still but am doing progress. i only wish i could maximize my effort within two hours

I really fear I am addicted. I've been ignoring my other sites, my bookkeeping, and business things I ought to do, so I'd have to say it is interfering with my normal life. I always say I will just reply to a few more discussions. I still, as of this moment, have 52 notifications left in my myLot folder, and I'd like to clean it out, but I have to pay some bills. and do some other things. I haven't even checked my regular email box yet today. I should stop right now and do some of these things.

hello bagarad, Well, don't ignore them too soon of course, oh my i haven't check my gmail yet, am very very sure that i have indeed missed a lot of topics now because of my unavailability to check them. it's alright, maybe if you can find some thing that can drag you from mylot alittle bit you can do so, right now am distracted with an online game.
