If you had a free round-trip airline ticket to anywhere in the world, keep in mind the state of affairs in various places around the world, where would you fly and why?

I wld fly to Europe. If I can only choose a specific country, I wld choose to fly to France. It seems that France is the most romantic place on earth. And since I'm currently learning French, it wld be a great opportunity to practise my French.:)

French are not accepting US dollar? Isn't US dollar accepted internationally?

I didn't say that they aren't - I would check to see if they are. I have heard that the US dollar is in trouble and that some countries are thinking of not accepting it.

I have always been fascinated about Europe. And I think France would probably be my first choice as well. With the different troubles around the world, and with the status of the American dollar, I don't know if I'd be able to go to France right now? I would have to study the current issues to see if it was safe, and if the French are all accepting the American dollar today.

I would choose England. Because I want to continue my higher education and get my PhD there. England has two great universities, Oxford and Cambridge, and I do hope to be able to study in one of those in the near future. I'm working on it now ;)

You sound extremely dedicated to your education! That's fabulous. I didn't check to see where you are now, I wonder if it would be difficult for you to go to England?

As far as I'm concern, both my country and England have a good relation so far. There are many British expats working in my country and Indonesian students studying in the UK. So I don't think it would be difficult to get a visa to study in England.

Because I want to see their beautiful ocean water and be in paradise.

I have been to the Caribbean and I'd be happy to go back there again! When you mention the beautiful ocean water, that is the truth! I was fascinated and amazed by the beauty of the color and the clarity of the water! I do hope that that oil spill hasn't ruined it any.

I would choose a return airline ticket to the Galapagos Islands in South America. It would be for me, my 4 year old disabled son and my 2 year old daughter. I would then be able to afford a cruise around the islands to see the wildlife. My second choice if that wasn't available would be to Madagascar. Then I would be able to see palm fringed beaches and wildlife. Those two destinations are the two most expensive flights on my travel wish list. I adore seeing wildlife and am keen on islands.

Both travels sound marvelous! The Galapagos trip sounds most wonderful with the cruise around the islands. What fun that would be!

Hi Kizzy: This question is very tempting lol There are so many interesting places on earth to go but at this moment of my life I'd love to travel to France to finish my studies and being in France then I could visit other places around Europe to pass a weekend maybe . I'm sure I'd enjoy it. ALVARO

My cousin went to Europe when he was first out of high-school. I remember that he went with very little cash. His mom told us that he was easily able to travel to quite a few countries with the public transportation. I'm sure that it would be a very educational trip.

I would probably fly to Miami, Florida. I'm currently watching this series and its location is in Miami. I would love to visit this city. European cities are also great, I would love to visit it someday.

I've been to Miami - very, very nice although quite humid. I enjoyed going to the Parrot Jungle there, but I understand that it has been taken over by another business.

I think that it would have to be South America, but I am not absolutely certain which particular country I would eventually choose. Several parts of the continent offer a variety of attractions such as historical significance, access to less civilised or modernised regions and of course excellent weather. I have considered travelling to Peru, Bolivia and Paraguay, but the cost has always been a good deterrent.

I would love to see Moscow. Perhaps on the way to Moscow I could stay at the Maldives Islands for a while. The latter is because I love to relax in the sun and surf. I would love a cabin on the beach, with canoes available. Various places in Europe interest me, as I haven't seen much of Europe. Paris, as well as Moscow.

I think I would go to Hawaii. The pictures from there are so beautiful, I'd like to see it in person. I'm hoping to get to go one day. Either that or somewhere tropical.

I was awarded a trip to Hawaii once. It was fabulously beautiful. I was disappointed though because it rained the whole time I was there. One of my goals to do there was to snorkel, but the weather was so bad they wouldn't allow us. I also wanted to deep sea fish, the weather was too bad for any small boats to go out. I also quickly learned that if you drive very far, you have to turn around and come back before you're ready! I would get island fever very quickly! Be sure that the weather will be good when you take your trip!

I'm not sure where I would fly right now. I could fly to Shanghai (I have the return ticket that I didn't use when I came back for cancer treatment), but I wouldn't want to go there this time of year. I think if I could go anywhere, it would be somewhere warm...either Hawaii, the Bahamas or vicinity, or southeast Asia where I spent a month on the beach in February one year. Just to be somewhere warm would be good. Happy thanksgiving!!!

I would definitely want to go to Argentina, and I dream about visit this place for while. I never have a chance and a gut to see it myself. I don't know what it will be like when I arrived, without a travel guide, or without anyone I known there. I hope that a local map might help me a bit.

Let me see. I choose to fly to Greece, Brazil, Peru or South Africa. Can I upgrade it to a Round the World ticket to accommodate those 3? hahaha...

Not now, perhaps a rain check sometime. I would like to fly to Peru. I have a little girl there that I send a little money to every month that helps pay for her school books and things. It is not much but I am sure her parents do need and appreciate it. World Vision does allow me to do such a thing and though we might never meet I would like to think I could meet her someday and we could share sometime as friends. I have considered stopping the payment since my struggle with financials are tough these days too but never have and I hope never need to.

Goodness, you tugged at my heart strings! Yes, I do hope that things improve so you can go to meet her some time! I also hope that you will be able to afford to continue to send her the payments, and I will look up World Vision to see if I too can help in some small way. I know that your little girl has far less than we do. It would be great to "adopt" one particular person like that to help on a regular basis. Do you share letters back and forth ever?
