Computer wires can be extremely annoying to deal with. They easily get tangled and cause many problems. Wireless is very good as a solution to this problem. However some people fear the radiation they emit. Which do you prefer?

I don't think most people over here have a wireless connection no matter if they have a desktop computer or laptop. The wires of a desktop computer I do find annoying so I prefer a laptop it's more functional too since you can take it with you where ever you go. For those who are afraid of the radiation: start with throwing out your cellphone, radio, microwave etc.

@WakeupKitty Not to mention you can steal internet from your neighbours if you have a wireless connection @charlestng Probably before dying because of radiations we will die because of being paranoid

I have a wireless internet connection, and it is really unstable. Sometimes it works relatively well and sometimes I lose my connection over and over. It is annoying to lose my connection so often, but on the other hand I love the freedom that my wireless connection gives me. I have a laptop and I am able to use my wireless internet connection anywhere in the house or outside my house. When I moved to another house it was very nice that I was able to use the internet from the first day and I didn't have to wait for a technician to install the connection like I did in the past. So there are advantages about wireless connection, but the lack of stability is a problem.

Wireless computers are fine to eliminate those wirings and everything. but I still prefer to have the conventional computer to use since it doesn't disconnect always. I have heard from a friend that wireless computer always giving her trouble due to connection. have a good day

Yes Wireless can give many problems. It is very convenient except for bad signals. Wires are more reliable in this area.

and most of the wireless gadgets need to be operated by batteries.... it could be a cool to the pocket if the battery being used are all rechargeable batteries.....

Even wireless not give us high connection rather than wire but I still choose wireless for two reason: cheaper and mobile. By the way, I know little trick to increase my speed connection about 5-10% (using wireless) but this trick only work for XP users. Interested?

You're wrong charlestng, this trick really work and I use this trick on my PC. I do not use optimizer software but I do change some setting on my PC. Let me put this way, Pretend our PC as bottle and internet connection from ISP as rain water. If we want to full bottle with water faster, we must change something (bottle, water intensity or both). Since rain water (ISP) is constant (we can't do anything about it), what we can do is to change bottle (specially on bottle mouth). I know this work because I like to download and I use IDM as my standard. Before I change my PC setting, my speed to download around 28 - 34 Kb/sec but after I change my setting the the speed become 31 - 40 Kb/sec (both using IDM in same level).

i certainly prefer wireless. Nowadays, there is too many wires in my house, speaker, woofer, phone and etc. But the one that is more annoying is of course the power cable, theres too many of them. I certainly hope in the future that they can solve this. I am rooting for it!!

There was a scientist many years ago, Nicola Tesla (he is the one responsible for discovering alternating current and allowing electricity to spread around the world), who had a plan to do this. I believe it can already be done, it is just a matter of perfecting it.

I still prefer using a wired internet connection because I like the reliability and speed. Plus as I tend to work on the computer from just one room in the house I have no need to use wireless, although I do have it.

I definitely prefer wireless, it's a lot more comfortable to use and you don't have to be stuck in only one place.

I prefer wireless . I am using a laptop at my house whenever I use the internet. It is easier for me to move around the house if I use wireless. But sometimes, Ethernet is also good because it has the best and fastest connection. So if I don't have to go anywhere in the house, I will plug the Ethernet cable on my laptop.

Wireless is the best!! And it does not cause any radiation problem because the radiations emitted are micro waves! no need to worry about that! And wireless has better speed than DSL!

same here.. but only issue is wireless network is not that much trust-able..it sometimes hang itself which lead to disconnection of network.. you may need to restart system or server..

if i have only excess money, i truly prefer wireless.... since i am not comfortable to spaghetti connection of wires that surrounds my computer.... imagine, i have desktop and laptop besides each other, with 2 printers, avr, an old scanner, 3 sets of mouses, and 3 sets of keyboards, a wire connection to digital camera and a usb extension cord just imagine how spaghetti is the back of my computer.....
