I felt I owed everyone an update as I have been promising to post one as soon as I knew more. Many are probably sitting here wondering if my Leg is healed as of yet, or how close they are getting and will I ever feel satisfied again? Well the good news is the chronic wound is progressively getting smaller. It continues to shrink down now about every week which is good, and going in the right direction. They did the maximum of 5 skin grafts which helped the wound quite a bit, and now they are doing something called Oasis which is known to work usually really quick especially on smaller wounds.
So now we continue to sit and wait and wonder how much longer. I am sure it will not be that long, or hoping it will not be that much longer but you never can tell. Let's just hope this wound will not be stubborn. Prayers are still appreciated as I Thank everyone that has been praying and I hope soon this will all be over.
Happy weekend everyone.

We have not met personally. But most of your posts I use to respond while staying in uSA. Now I am in Chennai. Still as soon as you posted I saw this.
Happy to note that your wound is getting healed. Added to medication they are giving, if possible (I know it is winter over there) go for walking. Avoid sugar. Avoid food rich in glucose. be happy. attend office on all days. you will be cured. prayers are online always for your getting healed quickly,.

Thanks my friend. Since I work Swing shift I a lot of times am on here at odd hrs. all the time, and then usually posting here before I go to work as well. I am trying my Best to watch many of the foods I am eating, and also trying to do other things to help me. As for walking, it is something that is still harder since I also have Fibromyalga, but I know it is something good for health overall.

Thanks my friend for the Prayers. I think we are on the home stretch with this wound so that is a Good thing. I would Love it to be by the end of this month, but sure if everything continues to go well it should definately be before Thanksgiving. This has been a struggle for sure, and there will always be the other Health issue such as my being Diabetic and dealing with Fibromyalga, but at least this one will soon be behind me.

hi tina as a fellow diabetic I will send more and more prayers that the wound shrinks until its all healed up. I know you have fought with this for so long.I am glad to hear its getting smaller as
that sounds really positive.I have heard of Oasis but do not know much about it.It still amazes me as a diabetic of many years that even a small sore can hang on for weeks for us diabetics even
if we are scrupulously clean and careful. I have
one on my left thigh thats really small but it is taking forever to heal.I am careful to be really clean and do use an antibiotic ointment but
its a pesky little thing. lol. Its superficial which is good but it makes me impatient. I hope your wound really shrinks fast and one day not too long from now it will close. glory hurrah for that day wow.

Well my friend it is now 2012 and the wound is still here. I am really getting discouraged at times wondering when it ever will heal, and what is really taking it so long. I am trying to keep my sugar levels under control, but know there are other factors taking place as well. But I am continuing to keep positive and know God is in control, and one day soon looking back I will know that is was worth it all.

This sounds like a step in the right direction. Since this discussion is three months old, I'm just wondering where you stand now. I am back to trying to go in chronological order. I hope you are healed soon! Happy New Year!!!

What great news to hear that the wounds are slowly but finally healing. This is great and hope that all the work issues soon will continue to get resolved.
As I usually believe that although things seem like there is no end at some point all does come to an end. I always pray for you Tina and hope that all continues progressing in the right direction for you.

I sincerely hope that the results are really good. I hope you're on the road to recovery. Skin grafts must be scary. Take care.

I will continue to keep you in my prayers. It is great to hear that the wound is still getting progressively smaller. However, I'm sure that you are anxious for it to be fully healed. The thing that I've come to understand in this past year is that it does take time to reach the full healing potential.
So, other than your health conditions, how are the other things that you've been having go on going?

That is good news! I am sure no matter how quickly it heals, it will be too slow for you. Just be patient after all you have waited this long and just keep thinking it will be soon.

I love reading about good news and good stories even here on myLot. And I'm glad that you're getting better.
I know that there are other things in your life that you wish were better (job), but at least healthwise it's getting positive.
Still sending positive thoughts your way!

That's very good to hear, Krause. Hope & pray it won't take too long to see it ALL gone, too.
I don't know how your illness all started as I'd only followed lately, but what exactly was the doctor's diagnosis? Is Oasis an antibiotic or a procedure? (I'm asking because it sounds like something I've had for years too, but it's internal, & thus, been difficult to diagnose. Have had repeated antibiotics for it, though.)

Our bodies are wonderfully made. I hope your wound will heal quickly and you are able to feel content knowing you are still appreciated while you wait. I hope you can find new things in the mean time to find satisfaction with because you want not to do anything premature before healing is completed. God bless.
