I'm not a girly girl by any means. When it comes to my hair, I just take a comb through it and that's it. I've had my hair straightened (friends have done it) before and I like the way it looks and feels. However, are there any products out there that aren't harsh on the hair that will achieve the same look and feel? Or a special type of brush? Mine just a normal brush with plastic bristles with the balls on top. I've used other types of brushes before as well.
I've been thinking lately about ways to kind of "change" my look without changing my hair color, it's already been cut a few weeks ago and while it's getting long enough where it's getting in my way again, it's not long enough for a ponytail either.
So let's talk hair. How do you do yours?

Unless your hair naturally dries straight, it's going to be pretty hard to get it straight without using a flat iron. A lot of times you can blow dry your hair and it can get pretty straight. I also know of some hair products you can buy to help your hair straighten out if you're using a blow dryer or flat iron. I guess you could also try shampoos that are supposed to help straighten hair. Without a flat iron, it's going to be very difficult to get your hair straight.
Most days, I straighten my hair. In my opinion, if I let my hair dry naturally and stay wavy it looks too messy. So most of the time, I wash my hair at night and then straighten it in the morning when I wake up. I've gotten used to it so now it takes about 10 minutes or less to straighten all my hair (and it's pretty long). I use all sorts of heat protectant sprays and other hair products that repair and prevent damage.

well, beside that, you can have some traditional herb for that.
my mom usually use ripe avocado, and some coconut oil.
to make it more shiny. you can add some lemonade essence, I mean you take it from the real lemonade.

sounds like the brush you are using is the same kind I was recommended when I got a curly perm - you might want to try a different kind of brush to see if your hair will be less curly/wavy with it.
I tend to cut my hair short when it starts getting really cool in the fall so its long enough to put up once it starts getting hot in the spring.

I hardly ever do anything to my hair. It has a little bit of a natural wave to it. I can usually get mine to look straight just by blow drying it and brushing at the same time.

I'm not sure how to straighten hair without a hair straightener. My hair's already straight! LOL Okay, so I've had a few perms in the past, some years ago, but whenever I wanted my hair straight, I'd use a hair straightener. Either that, or I'd just complain and wish that I didn't get a perm in the first place! LOL
I don't do much with my hair. Just give it a good brushing and usually tie it back when I'm home or have to go to work. When I go out and about (AKA errands LOL) I let it hang loose...unless it's really windy out, that is.
Speaking of hair, I just got my hair cut last night. It was starting to get too long to deal with (work wise). I don't have the know how or patience to put it in a bun so hubby clipped it for me. It's shorter than it's been in a while, but it's still long enough to put it in a ponytail at least.
Happy mylotting!

I have long hair. It used to be real thick but has thinned over the years. I wear it straight. I trim it every few months(3-6) and try to deep condition it every month or two. I use natural conditioners with keep it soft and strong. I used to iron my hair to make is shiny, straight and so forth. Anymore I braid it or have in a ribbon.
