Do you heard this? A women marry with more than one man and resides together

Here where I live it is not legal to be married with more then one spouse. No man or woman is allowed to legally marry more then one. There are charges called bigamy which can get someone arrested for doing so. But I have heard that there are some women who do live with one man. Some actually in their own religions actually do perform wedding ceremonies. Although they are not legal in the eyes of the law, but in their religion and families many women are said to be married to one man. They strongly believe like the man in your discussion yesterday that their husband can have more then one wife. They say it works well for them but this is not something I could accept for me. Maybe it exists, but I have not heard about a woman with several husbands.

This type of multiple marriage will not accept in India, as per our constitutional laws it is not allowed. But in India also, some frauds are doing many marriages for "dowry".

hahaha. i think man is the selfish person...he want to have more than one woman but they never can't received if their wife have more than one husband but look in the good side, if a woman get pregnant, then how can we know the father of the baby if she got more than one hubby

I don´t understand. Did the man marry them one by one and left them without getting a divorce or is he living with more than one? If it´s the first, the problem is just a legal one as there are some places where they don´t have the technology to see if the person is married or single before he marries again. I he is living with lots of women, I pity the poor man.

I know there are cultures where it is (was?) not forbidden and where it's normal too a woman can kick the guy out if he is a lousy husband. I think this is a good thing since a woman need to choose who is a good party for her to get children with. Just like female animals do. They don't want a loser as the father of their kids. With humans it's different. A man uses a woman to show off, it's also a part of his richdom and I assume there are women too who don't care and are happy they are not the only one who have to take care of that guy. Still I think it's hard to treat every woman the same way and if you have so many women you have to take care of all of them equally. In most countries it's forbidden to marry by law with more as 1 woman/man so if they find out you will end up in jail over here.

It was so impossible for a woman to marry more than one man resides in one roof. Men can do this things like what you had post now. Only a woman can marry more than one man if she is widow and her husband if passed away or they are divorced. I wish that woman and man has an equal rights when it comes to have more than one partner but it cant be for sure. Really hard for us.

I never heard about a woman who have many husbands. The only usual in arab countries and or Islam are men have many wives but not woman. I think it is prohibited to women having many husband in arab counties? I know women can make love with multiple men but for marrying them is not... Isn't fair enough in arab countries that only men have many wives but women didn't?

dear sis, I have watched in youtube an interview with a woman having two husband. This is due to woman/girl outage of that area that they allow women to marry or have two husband/s and commonly-two brothers sharing a wife. Really odd...but it is happening. have a good day

Hello. Plz. Surekha not say it a danger incident. When join family system is broking than it is example for us how to live in a big family. It is all most impossible for a woman to marry with more than one man. Man is dominant in our society and westren society as well. If one woman dare to marry with other man her present husband divorced her.

Wow, no, I never heard such story before and I must be quite shock if I do hear one. Any women that would do that must always feel very insecure with her love life and greedy haha! I don't know what to say if that ever happen, but there must be a reason as well though Thanks for sharing and enjoy!

A woman can't have several men in one house. That's impossible but I would like to share a story. It may happen too. There was a rich old man in our place who married a much younger woman. When the old man was ill, she brought her paramour in the house where she and the old man lived. For a normal person, this can't happen.

why surekha? haven't you herd of the story of panchali from mahabharatha who had 5 pandavas as her husbands?*evil grin* i know its not allowed in the real world and what example i am posing on you is a story of the past. Hindu laws doesn't allow either man or a woman to get married with another one before divorcing the first.anything done so is considered illegal and a punishable act.

Oh, I am aware of that. I had heard about a culture which entails that you can marry many women provided that you can sustain them.

I haven't heard of any women that have more than one husband yet either. I'm sure they exist though. It just may be that they aren't ready to come forward with their relationship. Some are able to put their relationship in the public eye and some or not. I don't know how anyone could have that many wives/husbands. I can see maybe having two, but it would get so complicated with more than that.

I was just having a discussion about this the other day. Here is the United States there is a television show called Sister Wives about a man with several wives and children and the life that they lead. It has actually caused them so problems by going forward like they have, but I wonder why it always is that we hear of many wives for one husband and not many husbands for one wife. I would not want to live like that as one is plenty to have to deal with, but it shows how unequal women are that we can't have multiple husbands but they have multiple wives.

I can honestly say that I have never heard of a woman having more than one husband at a time. I certainly wouldn't want to have to make meals that please two different men! And when they get sick they are the biggest babies.. imagine having two of them whining laying on the couches!

I can not imagine how this thing can actually happen. A man having several wives and getting them together is still possible, as I have heard of such things. But for a woman to have several husbands, then keeping them all together, I do not think that is possible, not unless she is the one feeding all the men, or giving them so much money that they can not refuse.

That is also disgusting. Couple mean two people. More than two is colony or something. This cannot be good for their family. What about children? If in the future they would ask Who is my father? So wife will say? Sorry I don't know?
