That In Time with Justin Timberlake sounds like it would be good. Sort of a fast paced thriller. Time is used like money. Your kids might even enjoy it. I wonder what you did go see. I haven't been to a movie in the theater since Thor was on. It costs too much to go anymore.

I think I would like to see that In Time movie too! I think it's an interesting concept to treat time as a valuable commodity (it already is!). And how they get more time to extend their lives. I just hope it doesn't suck if I watched it in the cinema, as it can be very expensive.

I read here that you already made a choice. I would have recommended Real Steel. I heard that it was a good movie for kids. Last Saturday, there was a community day at the local cinema. And they showed movies for free. It wasn't old movies, but still relatively new. Me and the kids ended up watching The Green Lantern in 3D!

Yes we had made our choice by the time you responsed but your response is still very valued as we shall go ot the cinema again. So thank you for your answer. The Green Lantern, haven't heard that one, would you like to share whats it about with us please? 3D is good, TinTin was in 3D. Its makes it so different going ot the cinema these days.

Green Lantern is one of the super heroes created by DC comics. It's about a guy(human) who has been chosen as one of 'intergalactic peace keepers' in the universe. He has a very cool super power. I think kids would like it.

It was very cleverly done and I saw on the telly how they made some bits of it, I just got bored but it doesn't mean it was boring for anyone esle, just not really my cup of tea. I think it may also be down to the fact that I have seen so many films its takes a very good one to grab me, a bit like books these days as I have read so many books over the years it takes me ages to find a book that hits the stop and is outstanding

Thanks for your choice, we saw TinTin, while we were waiting for the film to start we saw a trailor for Puss and it looks good, even fourteen year old agreed that it looked good. When we go as a family there is nearly always somone who we can't please totally but we do try to make sure its a different child every time. If there is a scary film then only hubby and 14 year old go, like to see Harry Potter

We have been talking about seeing Paranormal 3. I have heard that it is alot better than the first two. I'm not sure if you allow the children to watch that kind movies though..might not be a great idea if you don't..I hear it's pretty scary.

We went and seen it on Halloween. It was ok. I think it was alot better than the first two. I like creepy movies more than I do slasher type flicks.

For kids as well I guess The Big Year, or if The Tower Heist is open in your country that one too. The Big Year is PG and has Steve Martin, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson. Tower Heist is PG-13 and stars Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Casey Afleck..

Wow, haven't heard of any of those films, boy we are out of date. We saw some very good trailers for some films that are coming soon, so I think it won;t be so long until we go back to the cinema

Have a nice time. I have not been to movies theatres for many years now. I used to be a movie addict going to theatres atleast three times a week before. Now, being so busy with my work, I could only watch movies on the TV. Good to hear you and family will be enjoying !

When I was a girl, before hubby and children I always used to go to the cinema every weekend, sometimes twice as there were so many good films to see. Plus I only had to pay for myself, now we have to pay for 5, its not a cheap outing these days

Hi Anne, Dolphin Tale or Footloose would be great movies to see with your family.

Hello there, Saw Footloose when I was a girl with Lori Singer in it, only good thing in the film was the song Footloose, found it very boring. I wanted to see Dolphin Tale but Tin Tin was choosen, children enjoyed the film, which was the main point of the outing. They left it open so they can make another adventure with Tin Tin. I have asked ot stay home and do chores next time!!!

I have not seen a movie at a cinema in years! It costs way to much to see a movie now a days! On top of that you have to get snacks like popcorn! That is not cheap either! It is so much cheaper to rent out movies! I do it that way! If the movie is a favorite,I buy it so I can watch as much as I like to!
@Anne18 (11029)

Yes its also good to rent out the movies as well.

Well, with it being Halloween right now, a lot of the movies that are at the theater are more scary types of movies and those are really not the kind of movies that are family friendly. However, I do keep hearing about the remake of Footloose and most of the reviews that I've heard of it are pretty good. I don't really know that I would personally want to see the remake, but with teenagers, I think it might be a good choice since they probably aren't familiar with the original.

Thats for your imput on my discussion. I actually hated Footloose first time round, will wait for that to come on dvd and buy it for the children to watch

I haven't been in the cinemas recently as well but I think Hugh Jackman's movie is a good one. I have seen good reviews about the movie. Another would be Johnny English Reborn? It seems to be a hilarious movie though my husband doesn't want to watch it because he speaks there - my husband thinks he is funnier when he does not speak. I am not sure if there is any romantic/ feel-good movies being released... as well as family oriented movies (though I think Hugh's movie is somewhat like that but it is more of an action movie infused with a bit of family values stuff). Whatever it is that you have decided, I hope you had fun! :)
@Anne18 (11029)

Yes Johnny English does look very good, they showed a very good railor for that film. We saw TinTin. When we got home and switched the telly on there was a funny Mr Bean film on that we finished watching as we have seen it before. Hugo also looks very good for a next time film to see

I recently saw Hugo, and although I wouldn't call it hot, it was an interesting film and decent enough for children to view.

I've seen the trailers for most of the new movies. I think I'd like to see Puss 'n Boots first. I'm not much into the horror-type stuff even though it is the season. I haven't been to the cinema for years but some of the newer ones, I'd like to see. Would also like to see the one about J. Edgar Hoover. I'm old enough to remember when he was in office and reading and seeing some of the stuff that was going on back then. I think the kids would enjoy Puss 'n Boots.

We saw a trailer for Puss in Boots while we were waiting for TinTin to start, it does look like a very good film, might be the next film we go to see. Happy Feet2 looks good as well

Paranormal Activity 3, Real Steel, Footloose, The Three Musketeers,The Ides of March are the ones that are really famous now.. Since it's almost Halloween, you should watch a scary movie(paranormal activity). Or if you just want to watch a fun movie with action- try the 3 musketeers..

Hi there, we don't do scary films as a family, but thank you for your advice on films. We actually went and saw Tin Tin, children loved it, hubby had a ten min kip during it and sadly I found it very boring. I wanted to og and see Dolphin Tale. Hubby has said that I can choose the film nest time. The film was very well made and in £D, just wasn't my cup of tea. But it was very good to go to the cinema as a family as we haven't been to the cinema for ages and ages.

I would suggest a Horror movie to get into the Halloween mood but since you'll be with your children, I highly suggest Real Steel, The 3 Musketeers and Puss in Boots (that is if it's already showing in your theaters). I've seen Real Steel and The 3 Musketeers and I love them

Horror doesn't go in our family if we all want to go to the cinema, Now the 3 Musketeers, used to watch that on telly, very good but I bet it wasn't made like when I was a girl. Tin Tin the film we went to see wasn't like the TinTin I knew as a girl.... must be getting old!!!
