Who's pocket was this money taken from? Public employees and their families? Was it worth taking away collective bargaining rights, a cornerstone of how Wisconsin treats their employees? Sure, across the state a tiny percentage was saved. But what was lost?

So exactly what was lost? You can't count the concussions because that was already going to happen. In fact, that was the deal even before collective bargaining was voted on. The Unions never fought against the concussions at all. But let's see what else was lost. The forced collection of Union dues, the power not to fire bad teachers, not having a voice every year on whether someone wants to be in the Union or not, the lack of accountability of Union leaders, the lack of flexibility in adapting to economic changes, the lack of having manageable property taxes by those who don't have kids in the public school system, the lack of flexibility by school systems to spend their money on kids instead of lawyers fighting against bad contracts, increasing taxes because of unrealistic future commitments, in some cases the firing of teachers, in some cases bigger class sizes, and a lack of competition in health care costs and insurance costs for the school systems. So, here's a question for you. What about the pocket money of the taxpayers and their families?

Valentines. Since there were no decreases in pay, medical benefits, retirement and other benefits, then no one can honestly say that it was on the backs of public employees or their families. Most of the savings came from reduction of money going to the unions themselves. The union owned medical insurance trust had to lower their premiums because they were forced to compete with private group insurance carriers. This saved $75 Million alone. There is also the savings from the taxpayers no longer having to fund the collection of dues. There will be more savings in the future, since Act 10 has revealed a lot of counts of fraud. Sick day stacking, employees collecting both salary and pension for the same job. You're bigger class size and firing teacher scenario has already been proven wrong. 75% of the teachers laid off were from districts that rushed through contracts before Act 10 went into effect. In other words, they were not effected by Act 10. Class sizes in general have actually either stayed the same, or been reduced. There is actually a net gain of over 1000 teachers this year from last.

Ooooh, I forgot to add one final thing that was lost... A negative State budget.

They don't care how well he's done. All they're concerned about is soothing their egos. Retaliation is the name of the game and nothing he can do or that happens because of what he's already done will change them. They don't care about Wisconsin. They only care about themselves.

No, they only see what their union masters tell them to see. The union leaders might as well be waving their hands, "jedi style". lol
