How much public displays of affection are too much?

Now this might be an obvious question, but I'm sure a lot of you (or even yourselves with your honey) while your in public and probably not even thinking about it, you've done the small kiss in public, or just simply holding hands with your said partner.
BUT how much is to much before you start thinking, ok please get a room? Like i said probably a very obvious question, but reason i brought this up is I've noticed that Gay couples have been on the short end of the stick on this question, and now it's become pretty Taboo when you see either two men or two woman showing affection in public.
But what do you think? Does it bother you if you see a couple showing affection in public whether it be a straight OR a Gay couple?

Public affection which is holding hands shows love for me. As for kissing, I think, its ok as long as its not like torrid kissing. Showing of affection is good since it tells the people that you're in love but not to the extent that the couple will be caressing sexually with each other.
It doesn't matter if they are gay or straight..I always think the same thing.

I'm a beat conservative. I think to show love in public is lack of sense.Love is a feeling that is to be shown in private. To kiss in public is exaggeration and not normal gesture. Gay couples are abnormal. So they can do anything in public.

Hello nanajanet,
I am also a shy person i can't imagine of showing affection with my partner at public place but i have seen people doing it.Its not a problem they can do it if both of them feel alright may be gays or straight.
