OK, confess. I had some balogna sausage and pepperoni slices. I don't normally eat that stuff because I don't buy it and it's not normally in the house. Normally that' s not what I eat. but they did taste good and I didn't have that much of them. We also had cheese and crackers for appetizers as well as shrimp and cocktail sause.
So What did you eat that you shouldn't have?

Yes, I can tell you're really sad about it. If you lived down the road from me, I'd already be there.

Oh, alright! I have sent for some goodies from Swiss Colony. Summer sausages with cheese and mustard, truffles and old fashioned hard candy, and a bavarian torte. Oh my goodness. It will be here sooner or later. And we will have some International coffee, hot cider, and I may even have some whiskey.

My biggest thing with Christmas food is deli platters. I love the deli meats, cheeses and yummy olive mixes. I know it's a crazy amount of saturated fat but we rarely have things like salami and full fat cheeses so it's a treat. And of course any kind of appetizer is always a favorite of mine. Rich dips and shrimp cocktails, mmmm.

Yes, that's my downfall, too. Esp. French onion dip and anything. Thanks and take care.

First of all nothing is junk food - people that think food is junk are junk themselfs . Everything that is eatable makes people and animal and nature alive.
Just stating that is not enough but eating everything in normal amounts nothing will be Hazardous to your health .
There are a lot of vegitables that can make you puke if you eat too much but does that mean if you take them from your garden and stuff yourself that its junk food because it made you feel bad and made you puke - no .
Yes some food are bader even in small amount but there is an amount in time that you can eat and you will be allright .
I eat everything . I'm just on medical diet for 6 month because i have problem with my stomach not caused by food but i still cant eat some foods but once its over and a bit after i will start eating everything i like :)

#1-I didn't write "junk food", you did.
#2-It's themselves, not themselfs.
#3-No one was trying to insult anyone until you came along.
Now kindly go away and don't respond to my discussions until you can be nice to people. No one called anyone any names except you. I suggest you read the responses and see the nice, fun spirit of the discussion. I'm thankful for all food, I just think we tend to overeat around the holidays and eat things we normally would not eat.
I hope after you go back on your regular meals after the 6 month medical diet that it makes you in a better, kinder mood.

Yes, in Canada, it makes more sense to have Thanksgiving in October than it does in November.
