There were so many stress factors in my life. They were so many that I felt like I was going through an eye of a needle. That was before. But I still get to experience stress daily but as not much as before. So I'm bit more happy and contented now than before. Maybe that's the reason I looked older than my real age now compared to before when I just looked my age. Those daily stress factors before did take a toll on my body.

yes you are right, there are so many factors that cause stress in our life. i think we can handle this factors for preventing ourselves from stress. for me, i will try to thinking positively for every problem that i face, i will try to thinking clearly for solving my problem and not angry. anger will not solve the problem, but will give us more stresses. i also try to get a good slepp everynight for decreasing the possibility to get a stress. i will try to take a warm bath before sleep to get it. so i think you can try it. cheers.

I made a discussion a while back on how people deal with stress. I think that you should do things that you enjoy and that relax you. I say listen to some music, maybe work out, work out to music. I personally go on the tredmil in my basement and watch tv in the background lol. TV is a good thing to make you less stressed if you can get your mind off things enough to focus on it, and if your worried enough that can be really difficult. Just do soothing things you enjoy that can give you a release.

Hi! Yes I can understand how you feel about how to try to control stress. May I tell a brief story? When I was nearing the end of my recent pregnancy, my husband was literally begging me to slow down. I have to admit I did find this slightly amusing though I could well understand where he was coming from so we compromised; I do two or three errands a day and then rest during the afternoon. This he readily agreed to, knowing of my strong sense to accomplish something and I know when to r&r. Happily our little one has been most accomadating I've been able to keep this habit. Thanks to music, I do feel much more relaxed. All it takes is balance. Just do a couple things and be happy for what you did do. :-)

Hi hotsummer, stress is a very very serious issue...It has been known to actually take a deadly toll..However stress is not alway avoidable.. It sometimes helps to surround yourself with with people who are not so stressed..It does help when you see poeple who are not constant complaining. I had a friend that evertime I spoke with them I leave the conversation feeling worst than when I started...and sometimes I really called for an ear to listen to me and my issues...couldn't happen she always had issues... But you know, some situtations are not as stressful as we think they are...I remember a long time ago this old man advised me to "only worry about things when they happen and only if you can do something about it"...when you think about it, its a true statement. No use worrying about thing beyond uor control... We can't always do something about all things,,,take a breath step back and really anaylize the situtation...

If you want to reduce stress. should also know that without the rest nothing can overcome. You need rest and relaxation also should not be loaded and be a little calmer. I think mostly calm you also need to think positive. nice day!

Hello Hotsummer, The best way to reduce stress is to do engage myself in what i like most. Listening Music, going out for a brisk walk, talk to a friend or take a sleep for few minutes are few of the other techniques i do to release stress. People say that meditation is the best way to reduce stress. I have not done it but i must try it too.

I'm minimizing my stress by avoiding the things that cause me excess stress. Writing was causing me stress. I'm suffering from extreme burnout.. so I am now just focusing on things I like to do and some things like housework that need doing.

I agree with you. sometimes when we have so much stress we seem to look older. I was once in a bad situation and my goodness I can't even imagine how I looked so ugly and old and thin those times. I guess in order to minimize stress we have to learn how to think positively on everything. dwelling so much of all those problems makes us think about the problems endlessly and that will affect how we eat too and sleep well.

There are some foods you can eat that are supposed to help relieve stress. Yoga is also a good way to relax and of course a BUBBLE BATH! lol Okay, so I did some research and I'm going to list some foods that are supposedly good to help relieve stress. I say supposedly because I, myself, have not tried them out. Foods that are high in Vitamin B. It states that Vitamin B has a calming effect on the body and helps to melt away stress. Red Bell Peppers - Contains Vitamin A, C and Folate which will give you more energy and repair cell damage caused by stress. Basil and Arugula - These are two stress-relieving herbs that are also a great source of folate, which again gives me more energy. Blueberries - High in Vitamin C and has the ability to deal with high levels of stress. It also says to AVOID caffeinated drinks, as they can raise anxiety and stress hormones; Sugar which will cause blood sugar levels to spike, which in turn robs your adrenal glands of their ability to control stress hormones and protect the body against stress. Hope this helps you out some!

You can never minimize the value of sleep in reducing stress, especially a deep one. :)

You can reduce your stress by doing some Yoga, practicing meditation every day. By doing Yoga every day it will also help you to sound sleep.
