I just got an email from subway. You can choose cold cut or meatball subs that

were $5, are temporarily $2 each. My husband liked cold cuts and I like meatballs. My favorite thing to have there is the chicken teriyaki salad. I love the yellow banana peppers. So do those offers sound good to you? Do you normally eat at subway? I used to eat there all the time when I brought a friend to Walmart and he would "treat" for me brining him there. Do you get email from any food places telling you about the upcoming specials? I get Wendys and Subway so far.

I seldom eat at Subway, because I can't eat cold cuts and I can't eat hollow peppers and what I can't eat and what I don't like sort of leaves me with little at Subway. I do get notifications from a local IHOP and I belong to the Blizzard fan club at Dairy Queen... this month sounds really good with peppermint and chocolate...

Our IHOP Is gone and so is our Dairy Queen. Our nearest of either is in another state, Vermont. Only the tomatoes I skip at subway. I often have them put on all the cheeses they have when I do a veggie salad or sub. I'm surprised they have cold cuts. My Dr. said NO ONE should be eating cold cuts. Since subway was supposed to be started by Drs. . . , makes you wonder. Take care.

well, I do live in a big city, so I think that can explain why we have just about everything... I actually like our "home grown" sandwich shops better than Subway - Thundercloud Subs and Schlotzskys http://thundercloud.com/ http://www.schlotzskys.com/

We had everything, but we lost them. You can't keep things people don't go to. They don't go when they loose their jobs, esp. when they leave the area.

Oh no, it is just for the cold cut or meatball sub? That would be a deal for my husband, but I have my own sub I like and it isn't one of these..:(

Yes, well, my preference is for the chicken teriyaki salad, like I said. But at those prices, I'll do the meatball sub. The cold cut one does not appeal to me either.

Wow, I must have been tired or something to make a separate box like this..I did look it up, it is customer appreciation month, so I think it is going on all month long. I can always contact the local subway and see if they are offering this deal..Thanks for the heads-up...

You're welcome. Some of these notices are neat. Like when Wendy's had their first fish fillet. Take care and good night.

I received the e-mail and its a good deal. Its 2 sandwiches that I won't eat one is to many calories (meatballs) and the other is one of the few I don't like at all. My husband loves the meatball, so he will be visiting Subway. I use to eat there every week, but its costly to eat out. Its cheaper to eat at home. Most of the sandwiches are so pricey that they are no longer affordable for families in my area. The last time I ate there a family in front of me spent over $40.

The drinks tend to be $2 or more. The cookies, chips, and everything tends to be expensive. If you only get the "deals" like the cheap subs, it's not bad. If the same family of 4 only got these subs, It would be $8. But they'll buy the drinks Which will be another $8 and then chips and then cookies. I could see how it would count up. Their yogurt was insanely expensive. No, they're not cheap.

That is a fabulous deal! I never eat those kinds of subs, but it is a good deal. I enjoy their deals when they are $5 but recently just have not had the extra money to eat out on. I hope to soon though.

I thought it was pretty good. I think they're trying to compete with dollar menus.

I looked on Subway's FB page and found a link to this article. http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/food/story/2011-11-29/two-dollar-eats-subway-taco-bell-chipotle-kfc/51475810/1 Looks like it is a month long thing. I don't eat Subway all that much, but there is one across the street from my work. My boss is always going over there or sending me for him. Once in awhile he will buy me a sub although he asks pretty much every time if I want something I usually turn him down. Nice of him to offer, but I don't really want him spending money on me.

I like their salads better than the subs. I'm not a big bread, esp. bun eater.

Hi writersedge, This offer from Subway is a great one in my opinion. Personally I can't make 6 inch sandwiches with my own store-bought ingredients for $2, even if they are only bread and mayonnaise haha. In that sense, I have been and will continue to take advantage of this deal. I eat at subway quite often, and luckily for me the meatball is my favorite, so I'm completely set. I often get emails from other food places - Arby's, Del Taco, Jack in the Box, IHOP, etc. I think signing up to be contacted from these places is a great way to get info on deals like this one from Subway. They sometimes send special coupons too that the general public wouldn't have access too, so again I think it's great. I would suggest to anyone who has a favorite restaurant to sign up to their mailing list if possible.

About the only coupons I get, are in the mail, and they are for McDonald's...which I will never use, no matter the discount! I have a bit of a snicker tho, when I get these...nearest McD's is a very costly Ferry ride away..spend $60.00 to save $2! Not likely! And even if I am in town...my truck doesn't go to McD's...Subway..A&W...Wendy's or the likes! Hugz!

Wendy's used to have a really nice salad bar. Subway has nice salads, too, here. I prefer a salad which I often have with just cheese. Take care.

I actually had a steak n cheese there yesterday, but it was a treat. I hardly ever eat there although I like them. I get some special offers from Zaxby's but other than that it is usually department store offers.

I picked up a $2 six inch sub on Friday. I had the cold cut one. I do not receive any emails from fast food places with upcoming deals. I am getting so many emails from my survey sites that they would probably get lost anyways.

Good point. I can have up to 8 email sites so I have different ones for different purposes.
