My dear myLotters... I really dislike to post this one... Have you visited the 'new discussions', I've been visiting that section every half an hour and I've read, so far, a truck load of one liners. Things like 'Which is your favorite perfume?','what does life mean?','which is your favorite actor or movie.. Or tooth paste...or flavor of rubber' and this goes on. The last word can be anything.. I'm sick n tired of reading all the trash...
Where will we put it all? How can we get rid of so much of trash??? God help us...
I've only one message for those one-liner authors,'Please spare us..'

Hi!
That is something what we cannot avoid and what we can do is just to ignore them. The admin will do something about it. Most of the time, such a one liner discussion mostly are started by the newbies that never like to read the guidelines. There are new people who join mylot everyday, so, there will be non stop of such a discussion everyday, so, just bear with it with an open heart, and be happy!

Oh... I just can't be happy with that... Today, when I was going through the new discussions, I saw the entire page filled by such one liners.. That got me irritated.. Many of us have seen infinite quality on myLot and one used to such quality can't see the one-liners taking the whole place... :(
Yes, Ignorence is the best policy... :)

Got me thinking, flavor of rubber? haahaha so weird and so not useful, and why in the world would i want to taste the flavor of rubber anyway. I have no idea on how to respond to those kind of discussions which seems inappropriate.
The only thing we can do, for me, is to ignore them really.

LOL... It would fall under mature content, if I elaborated the 'flavor of the rubber'... ;) That is why, I avoided that.. Lately, I have seen such immatured poll questions in the 'new discussions' in a huge quantity... Today I got real irritated with that... I agree with you, Ignorence is the best policy...

I don't think anything can be done. A lot of people will ALWAYS have one line posts.
I try not to, but I can't say I have never been guilty of it myself.
I think its a downside of "earning" sites, whether here or elsewhere, people just want a payout and not put a lot of effort into it.

Hello MR_Pearl, All you can do now probably is to make sure I don't make their mistakes. but the truth is that these are new comers who doesn't want to respond and doesn't care what we say in our discussions. Just ignore it or if you really have time to bother with it then report it to the admin and have it deleted. we have no time for those who prefer a quick buck in making post. I am glad no one is giving a trouble on my discussions

Hello.. Thanks for sharing.. I agree with you... Ignorence is the best policy in such cases.. .What else can we do? I generally am satisfied with that, but yesterday, I saw so many of them that I could not control myself... :)
Thank you again!!! Have a good day!

Yeah topics that don't give me much to work with, they really do depress me a lot of the time. Mainly because I have to shift through them to really get through the decent topics. If I can't write at least two paragraphs on any given topic, then it is really not something that I really partake in any one. Granted, I'm sure I made a few topics like that earlier than my career here at myLot but live and learn.
Granted, I'm sure I can perhaps write a couple of paragraphs out of the most simple topic. It does annoy me however that there are just topics that you really cannot sink your teeth into and write. Perhaps that is me getting more picky and selective. If I wanted to read rubbish, I'd go to Facebook. And since I won't go to Facebook, I'm here at myLot.

Hello there.. Thanks for sharing... I agree with you, the one liners really don't give a lot of food for thought... They just are kind of poll questions, where you can answer in one word... Such people, the one line masters, tend to find a short cut to make more money here and they fail... Because myLot isn't about a short cut... It is a beautiful concept of sharing ideas..
I deactivated my FB account before a few days, as it was hampering my online work a great deal... LOL...
Thank you!

I hate one liner discussions as well because it's a waste of time responding to them. Those are what i called selfish starters because they don't even make an effort to think or share, but just want money credited to their account in the shortest time. Whenever i see such discussions, i'm sure to skip them all as they are not worthy of my responds. If that starter is busy, i don't see why they have the time to start so many one liner discussion when they can actually use it to come up with quality post instead.

Hi Miss.. You're right in calling them 'selfish'.. .yes, they are selfish, because they post one liners just to increase their count (which, they assume, will increase their money LOL).
I think, myLot admin should issue a warning after a certain no of new one liner discussions by the same member... That'll help keeping this site clean...

Hello... You are so nice and kind... I am healing up, trust me.. Thank you... Thanks a lot!! You always draw a tear or two.. They are of happiness of course... I am recovering my dear buddy... :). Thank you for your kindness...
You know we can't write to these one line masters and warn them... Our warnings will fall on deaf ears, as they don't care to read the replies.. So it is of no use to warn them... I have also heard that the Admin will delete such posts, which means all our efforts are wasted... :(
Thanks a lot Pergammano... Have a good day!!! @sid556 (30953)

I know just what you mean,Mr. Pearl. I've noticed a lot of the same thing. I hate reporting but if you notice that it is one person doing a lot of this then you could report them and all those one liners will get deleted. They are a pain to sort through them all to find the decent discussions. You could respond and let the person know but it's apt to get deleted if someone else reports it and half the time, the ones that post these kinds of discussions, don't return to them.

Hi Sid... I do the same.. In such cases, ignorence is the best policy.. Sometimes, they are so many in number that we can't escape reading them... LOL... I don't reply to such discussions because I know it is futile.. They don't reply to it and I doubt if they read it or not... :(
The Admin deletes them in some time, none is spared... So there is no point in our writing to them to avoid the one liners... Because when the admin deletes them, our posts will get deleted too.. In any case, it is futile to warn such one line masters...
Thank you!

The new Mylot has the same problem.
I think Mylot should set a clear guide as to the minimum words in a comment to earn anything.
If not, many people will spam discussion threads, and they think that the more discussion threads they participate, the more money they will earn.

Don't worry, Mylot Admin will be taking care of those one liner posts/topic.
All you have to do is report it "not enough content for a topic"
For sure those who posted one liner never goes to the FAQ's here in mylot.

I am positive that they never check FAQ... also, they never check the replies (if any) to their own discussions... I hate to read the one liners and it becomes an irritation when they are too many in number.. Yes, the admin always deals with it. And even if we don't report it, such posts are eventually deleted...
Thanks a lot JaiHo!!!

Hi Joni... These one liners are done with the purpose of increasing the no of posts and the authors of those imagine that their earnings will increase too, but it is not true... And in time, they learn the lesson...
myLot is essentially a discussion site... For a discussion to begin, the author must put forward the topic and elaborate a little... Then the different possibilities must be added, which makes it a healthy conversation which is knowledgable and useful to all...
The one line masters don't survive in myLot for a long time, thankfully... :)
Thanks a lot.. Have a good day Miss!

Hi mr_pearl. Nice to hear someone else who feels the same. But i think the simplest way to avoid this one liner trash can be done only by the Mylot admin team. The FAQ clearly says that money that you earn depends on the quality of the post and not the quantity. But I am rally not sure if this is being followed, since I am new here. But if Mylot is stricter on such discussions and the people are not paid, then it will prevent people posting one liners just for the sake of posting. This is my opinion.

Hi Ashwin ... Thanks a lot... Ignorence is the best policy in case of one liners.. Those one line master certainly do not understand or even attempt to understand the myLot policies... They just want to increase their count and in the end, they end up losing everything... LOL
Thank you again!!
