Share this!! No excuses, folks. Don't drink and drive- and don't ride with anybody who does.Tipsy Tow offered by AAA: You don't have to be a AAA member, from 6pm-6am on New Year's Eve/Day they will take your drunk self and your car home for FREE. Save this number... 1-800-222-4357. Please re-post this if you don't mind. The life you save may very well be your own!!! Or that of an innocent family. My son was killed by a drunk driver 7.5 years ago, he would still be here if this did not happen.

I wonder how many people ended up using it.

Beyond AAA, it's a good idea to look around locally for anyone who offers things like this on. Where I live, there's a lawyer who will reimburse anyone up to like ... $30 for any taxi fare they rack up in the city on New Year's.

I myself do not drive but I avoid being driven by those who drink. Even if he drink is just a wee bit and the person is not drunk. More so on New Year's eve because on this day there are too many drunk drivers out on the streets.

In spite of all of the warnings, there will be people who will drink and drive on New Years. So, the service you mention is a great idea. They don't offer this in Pennsylvania. However, the local taxi company is offering free rides to students from East Stroudsburg University.

Its really so sad , what happened to your son. But the message you are spreading is really great. One should never drink and drive, it could lead to dangerous consequences.

Thank you for posting this! They do not operate in my city, but I'm planning on staying at my friend's house anyway. :)
