It was Cary Grant's fault I didn't get as much done today...

So today I had decided that I would pack up some books, color my hair, and take care of cancelling a couple of joint credit card accounts.
Got 2 out of 3 done, but Cary Grant kept me from doing any packing.
I came home from my walk and "An Affair to Remember" was on TCM. Hadn't seen that movie in years, and that channel has no commercials. It had just started, so I sat myself down and watched.
Ok so I got a walk, I took care of the credit cards, and I colored my hair. No boxes.
It was Cary Grant's fault, honest folks, who could resist?
Great movie:

Have you seen it? Do you have a favorite oldie?

Ah, Cary Grant. Yes, i have seen An Affair to Remember. He has done so many fun ones. I liked him in Arsenic and Old Lace and so many others. I am one who just loves vintage movies. My favorite of all time is Harvey. This time of year i have to see White Christmas, Holiday Inn and The Bishop's Wife(Cary as an angel). I have a list of great ones if you're interested.

Harvey was great. Also Father Goose. Another Cary Grant movie was Hithcock's North by Northwest which has been on my mind a bit lately.

Yes I have, after watching the modern movie that I can't remember the actors, actresses, or title, but in the modern version, this movie is mentioned and they play it out like in the older version.
It is an excellent movie, one I'd love to see again, so I don't blame you for taking a break to watch it..

No, it wasn't a remake and now I remember, it had Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks in it and it didn't play out like the original, they are very different, but Meg Ryan's character ends up watching the original which gives her the idea to meet at a certain restaurant every year..

Okay so the two out of three things you did get done were good, the cancelling of the credit cards was the most important, boxes meh they coulda been organized and packed or whatever but you ain't seen the movie in years so whose to blame you.

hi dawn yep it was Cary Grant;s fault for sure.lol. i loved
that movie and would have loved to see it again. He was the]
greatest wasn't he? lolYou kept good company Dawn. I think
North by NorthWest was one of my favorites too, as some
scenes in it were shot in my home state South Dakots. I
think C ary Grant was in that too.

I have seen a Cary grant Movie. I am not big on old movies. That is why I have never seen any of Grant's movies or care to. At least you had a good excuse not getting everything done you wanted! Cary Grant was a handsome looking man back in the day!

I've seen that movie once or twice, but I prefer the 1994 version 'Love Affair' with Warren Beatty and Annette Bening.
This is one of those movies that I don't mind seeing over and over again.
I'd probably loose my man-card for this, but I can't resist Ms. Bening!

There is no need for you to care that, you may do those tomorrow. However your favorite oldie won't rerun frequently. What is important is that you are happy .

I did do a lot the next several days. And there's still a lot more to be done. I really did enjoy the movie though.

I think so too. Today they focus all their efforts on the special effects instead of the story and the acting.

Yes I've seen it & I cry almost every time. It's such a sad yet happy romantic movie & every time I watch it I fall a little more inlove with Cary Grant. He was such a good actor. It also reminds me of that scene in Sleepless in Seattle. Have you ever seen that? Tom Hank's wife in real life plays his best friend's wife in the movie & she starts telling them about this very Cary Grant movie, but as she tells it she starts crying. That whole seen is hilarious.

I don't think I have seen that one but wouldn't mind trying to find it when I get a chance. He gets that channel. I'm not sure what my favorite oldie would be. I like too many. Maybe The King and I.
