I came across a popular website this afternoon. It is Fiverr.com(not a referral link. You can list things you will do for other for only $5. Whoever wants your service will pay the website $5. The website keeps $1 and you get the other $4. It seems like a really cool website, but what in the world could I do for someone for $5? What would you do for $5?

If that was my own money, I'll use it to buy a mobile application, subscribe to a mobile dating site, subscribe to a mobile content providers.Through my own affiliates link, so that I will get a comission.I considered it as a cashback. The services have to be a good one and could be able to attract people to get interested.Cause I will told about it to my friends, and when they get interested they will do the same thing like me.Also I would ask to them to told about it to their friends. With this way, more money will come to me.It could be tens to hundreds times then what I have invested. With a little effort, time and energy. Too bad, it's really-really rare to get that kind of services.Since I was from Indonesia, while most services was for US, AUS and Europe. And for the money on the site that you have mentioned. With $5, we have to do a hard works like write couple long articles, couple short stories or even a book.lol

I would clean a toilet, make them something to eat, write a short article to enlighten them, find an item of interest online for someone, prepare ingredients for a recipe, watch someone's child for an hour, and vaccum their floor for them. But is this just cyber or do you have to actually go to their city and do these things?

I'm guessing it can be cyber on non-cyber, it's your choice from the looks of it. You had some great ideas!

I don't know as I have never been faced with something like that! I suppose if it has something to do with typing up something...or doing something crafty I might give it a whirl....but my time is worth more then five bucks!

In today's economy I can't imagine anyone doing anything for just five dollars. Sounds like it would make a good TV show though. I may just have to check this site out for a laugh. Are you sure you spelled it right? There are two r's in fiverr?

It seems cool, I'll try this site out. Well I would do a lot of things for 5$, but mainly writing tasks. 5$ is worth a good quality 800-900 word article/translation/spinning for me. I would also test programs and write blogs, handle excel or MS Word for someone.

Yes, it is definitely full of gigs. It looks as if you would really have to offer something unique in order to make any money on the website.

By reading the description you actually get just 4$, as they do pay 5 but one goes to the site. So in fact the real question is what could one do to overthrow competition and be worth 4$ to them, while at the same time being even worth more (the 5 $ paid by the people that want your services). One could write between 5 up to 10 articles of 100-300 words on given topic for that price. Another option would be to translate an article, story or something from a rare language to english (or something similar). Promote a site, get like 5000 or 10000 views to a person's site. Join to a site and pay a lesser paid membership (like something that costs up to 3$). That's what comes to mind at the moment.

I opened this website but I think I will need more time to understand the website completely. Its an interesting one. But in some cases, I think $5 is very less amount. haha.

As I am not a member of that site, I have no practical experience of that site. But what I guess is that anything that is possible for you to do online which would help the person who is ready to pay the fees. As for myself, if I ever join the site, I would offer my knowledge of homeopathy to make money there.

Not much I guess. I'm not that short of money so $5 wouldn't exactly do much to me. I would do things like get someones car cleaned, get the groceries, stuff like that.

With $5, I will use it for social events or to help people less fortunate. Because by helping others then our lives will be more valuable. If for any business is ultimately the same goal of helping others as well as countires in order to bulid better than before.

I can't think of anything I would do for only $5. If it would be getting something a drink, or something to eat, that would be about it. Nothing that takes longer than than a 1/2 hour or so.

I am not a member of this site but what I read fiverr.com is a paying and legit site. Hmmm...What can I do for $5? 1. I will write SEO friendly articles. 2. I can do backlinking. 3. I can do keyword research. It is a tough site and one should be creative to sell their services for $5. Good luck to all the members of fiverr.com..:)

I will design a simple Wordpress or Blogger website (an enough simple one, if it's getting too much complicated, I need more pay! XD) and do Java coding homework. Well, there're already a lot of gigs about that - it means I'll have lots of competitor .

I neither liked the concept of the site, nor the concept. I like being told what to do, and I cannot tell what I can do. As I came to know of, it is a popular site. The things you would do is a gig. I learned a lot from there, from just 1 visit. Now I know how scam sites get their testimonials made!!!

I have some concerns with this site, however, it doesn't sound like a bad deal, I'm just afraid of someone getting ripped off or not getting paid for a task that they do. Not to mention I worry that if means face to face meeting that some people could find themselves in unpleasant neighborhoods and meeting people that they don't feel comfortable around (worse case scenario.) My question is how do they pay, and what are the terms of service like. How do they protect themselves from someone who make want someone to do something illegal.
