The same mistake has been done again by me.

On Monday last that is on 09.01.12, I spent so much time on mylot and responded to a lot of discussions on which I can easily comment owing to my natural inclination over those topics as well as knowledge over those subjects. But unfortunately I received a notification on 11.01.12 from mylot stating that altogether 9 of my answers have been deleted as the original questions have been deleted for violation of rules and regulations of mylot. Earlier on several occasions I had some of my responses deleted due to the same reason but never so many were deleted on a single day. Thus all my time and energy were wasted in vain with deduction from my earnings. I have a bad habit that I cannot resist myself from the temptation of responding to discussions that attract me as well as I feel comfortable in answering those, despite being aware that they may be deleted for violation of rules and regulations of mylot and more interestingly all the questions that have been answered by me this time were similar to those that were deleted earlier by mylot. It clearly shows that I have failed miserably to take lessons from my past experiences at mylot. So I have no hesitation to admit that I rightly deserve it as punishment. So, henceforth, I need to be more cautious about these silly mistakes and must strictly follow the rules and regulations of mylot if I want to get rewarded for all my time and energy I devote to mylot.

Well, i have been here for more than a year already, yet every now and then i also get a notification that the discussion i responded to, got deleted. Much as i avoid some discussions that falls under what Mylot wants us not to do, i still sometimes get careless in choosing the topics. Just like you my friend , sometimes my eagerness for the topic is what makes me commit a mistake . But whoa, 9 answers deleted, that's really a waste of time and effort my friend. Better be careful in discerning what to answer next time, my friend.

SIMPLYD, how or where are you notified and do mylot admin just say your post was deleted.. I am a newcomer as well but I don't want my discussion to be deleted because I didn't follow the rules.. But deleting 9 posting/responses is a lot in one day I would think. I can see how someone would think that as a waste of time and energy but I guess the rules are there for a reason....

Through my email my friend. Actually, you can do that by going to preferences and there check your preferences specially with notifications.

I think that we all want to be rewarded for our efforts on here. I think that sometimes we forget how to formulate a discussion. WE want to ask a question and that isn't the correct way to go about it. We need to form our discussion as a conversation. I would get into the habit of asking yourself is this going to be a waste of my time? Is this a well formed discussion or will it be deleted?

I have had one or two deleted but it was a very good lesson. It taught me to form the discussion as that and not as a question. Very valuable lesson.

But in spite of taking so much precautions, don't have any of your responses or own topics of discussion deleted for violation of terms and conditions of mylot? If you have not so far this bitter experience of deletion of any of your responses or own topics of discussion, I must say that you are very lucky.

You are the only one to do this. I kow other memebers who have done this and there always will be people like that. I know of 2 memebers who do this because they are sick and tied of new people coming on Mylot and not knowing all the rules! So the new memebers break the rules, these memembers try to help them but instead Mylot deletes the discusssions with responese because the rules are of course broken. Alot of times newbies don't get it even with the help! I know people want to be helpful but if the person who is getting the advice doesn't want it,it is time to move on! I have done that! You have learned and that is nice to know!

Yes, I have learned it repeatedly and after each such incidence, I become very careful initially while responding to any discussion but soon I forget everything and do the same mistake again.

You know, this is something that happens to all of us some of the time and it really isn't something that you should feel bad about. Yes, some of the discussions that you've responded to were deleted because of some violation of the rules. However, I'm sure that all of the discussions that you responded to were not deleted and for that reason the effort that you made was not altogther done in vain.

But is it really possible to go through the rules and regulations before responding to any discussion?

i am a new user to mylot. this has not yet happened to me, but from your post i came to know that it might happen any time if i am not careful. if i may ask, what are these types of discussions that are likely to get deleted? i have gone through mylot's rules & regulations, and can only remember that copyrighted materials, promotion of 3rd party affiliate programs, jokes and recipes to be the ones which are against their guideline.

I have been very active on mylot sometime back but now I repond very rarely. Yet I have seen some discussions to which I have responded get deleted. However I have not seen my earnings going down when a discussion is deleted.

Well that is certainly a waste of time. I have some shares of useless responses before since I also am tempted to respond. But now, I choose the discussions properly before responding. Most especially those discussions that relate to how much we earn, how to earn and those that are clear violations of mylot rules.

This has happened to me a couple of times in the past, so it isn't you alone. I would suggest carefully reading the discussion before you respond to it. That way you will be able to determine if the discussion meets mylot criteria. That way there will be less chance of your response being rejected or being deleted. I hope that you have better results in the future. Good luck, and happy mylotting.

It is not as if I dont understand myLot rules. But the reason I continue to respond is because my friends are little devils, they start such discussions. And I just like to say hello to some of them that I dont meet normally in other discussions. :)

This is something that I have done myself on more than one occasion. I guess that what we all need to do is before we answer any questions, is make sure that the question that we are answering does not break any of the rules or regulations. If we do that more often then we might not get as many of our answers deleted.

Well, you cannot look at things that way. I never think about what might or might not be deleted. I also respond to discussion that interest me or peek my interest. I have had responses removed as a result of discussions being deleted. Although I do agree that there were lots of them removed, I would not worry about it. It does happen.
