How is this for planning a vacation???

Hi mylotters, this is going to sound really crazy because it
sounded crazy to me....
My girlfriend call me, I answer the phone and she said, "do
you want to go to Florida"? I just said "sure"....she said
said I will call you right back...and hung up...10 minutes later
she called me back and said , "well its done"...being confused
as to what she was talking about I said "what is done."..she
happily stated "I just booked the flights"..now this is really
crazy...she went on to explain she found these flights and the
price was going up fast so she had to book them quickly....I had
to laugh out loud...and ask "could you give me some information
on 'my vacation"....and she gave me details..
But have you ever heard of anything like that...that was crazy
but she is one of my best friends and she said she knows how
much I kept saying , I've got to get away.and how much I need
some sun.....So after the shock wears off I will be really happy...
By the way we are leaving in two weeks......fortunately
I can swing it...but I am still shocked....

WOW! That sounds like a great vacation and a great friend too! I love Florida. It is wonderful. I wish I could move there. You will be enjoying the sand, sun and surf! Lucky you.

I would have had to know how much the trip was costing before hand but if you are ok with the way it turned out that is what counts. I wish you and your girlfriend a wonderful trip. Enjoy yourself and whatever you do be careful.

hi lelin, thanks for your concerns, my friend knows me very very well
so she knows when to and when no to make that move...It was just a \
move I wasn't expecting...Any was I am pretty much over ths shock,
almost...LOL....
I am now concentrating on the trip and looking forward to have a very
deserved good time....

Gee I would need to know a lot more information than that before I would agree, I would want to know how much it was going to cost me, how long the I would be away, where are we staying, I would just have to know...

hi lilaclady...THATS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT...she did with just
the answer to; do you want to got to FLORIDA,..YES"...I knew nothing
when where or why... I don;t know if I would have agreed to do it
just like that..so maybe its good it happened that way...
I would not have ever did that to anybody...but because its a good
move that I really need....its alright....

Wow! That was crazy indeed! But I guess your friend knows you so well that she doesn't have to worry about getting her money back, otherwise, I don't think she'll even think about doing it. Since you've already agreed to her "invitation", might as well enjoy the vacation. Have a safe trip .

Well... hope you have fun!!! In our country, there are so many airlines that offer seat sales, so we could have really, really low fares. So, what my friends and I do is that when a seat sale is up, whoever hears of it books for the rest of us. And then we just pay whomever booked the flight. And we do that for the hotel, etc.
Sometimes crazy is fun!

hi gloryacam, thanks for your response...With the price of gas
on the rise, I doubt if any airline will be having any type of
sale, let alone a seat sale, which I've never heard of here in
the US.,,
Her daughter and her family will already be down there in a 5
bedroom house. on vacation...which is where we will be staying
so we are just going to stay an additional 4/5 days after they
leave and pay for the additional days...which is actually less
expensive than a good hotel..
I am expecting to have plenty of fun or at least plenty of sun,
and water ...which is what I am looking forward too.

hi, friend, there is one saying, a perfect life must have two times impulsive, one is go trip, the other is desperate love. Now you have one. Congratulations! Enjoy your vacation. The money is something we can make, while happiness is not we can buy. Try to calm down. We are always so busy that the vacation is always delayed. You are envied for having so good a friend who planned a vacation for you, although it's crazy.

Hi xiaoqian, thanks for your response...I like your two times
impulsive theory...I don't even know if I am interested in the
desperate love portion....LOL...I am to old to have desperation
in my live...I like to just go with the flow and enjoy my life
without drama...
I definately have calmed down how, but it is still crazy, but I
am so blessed to be stressed....

It was lovely that your girlfriend phoned up and asked if you wanted to fly to Florida. She was looking at the airfares and saw them going up. Therefore she wanted to book it straight away. It is lovely that now she has indeed booked those flights. I know you and her need some warm sunshine. You are leaving in just two weeks so I suggest you get your packing list sorted soon. Good luck planning your superb trip to Florida. I booked a flight to Cancun in 2005 but due to a hurricane it got canceled. I phoned up a travel agent and asked her for a flight to a tropical destination. She said she had one space available on the flight to the Maldives. I jumped at that chance. Off I went to that very expensive destination. I hope that your trip to sunny Florida will be excellent.

That would be nice to have a friend book your flight and make all the arrangements. How cool! For me it would be a bit difficult to come up with the cash since I live clear on the opposite side of the US and it would be quite expensive. Florida is that much closer to Jamaica. Yahoo!

No, thats the crazy part, she did not buy me a vacation, I have to
pay her back...but she didn't know what type of money I had she just
booked it..but thats what friends are for...she know she will get her
money..
But believe its not that great...she is not buying a vacation for me!!!!
