Has a total stranger ever did anything nice for you that just made your day? Yesterday a waiter called me a lovely lady and he was so nice he just made my day a lot brighter. Name something a total stranger has done for you in your life time that made your day a bit brighter.

Well the day is composed of (more or less) 12 hours of light and the same number of the dark. In my case, as to your, just very little to make a bright day, even a simple compliment!
But I must also emphasize that just a small negative episode to make sure that my day is ruined.
Certainly the problems in my house there, unfortunately almost always end up staying sad. Outside the home still easily find happiness, as I said before, even in very small positive things.

Once I was in line (drive-thru) at McDonalds and the person paid for my food & drinks that was in front of me! I was so taken aback when the cashier told me I didn't have to pay, the guy before me did, and so I passed it forward by paying for the guy behind me (their order was only $2 but still). This happened about 3 months ago - I thought it was awesome! Definitely made my day! I am seeing my friend this afternoon to go on a long walk around the lake, so that is going to make my day with any luck.

Many years ago a stranger brought gas to me, as I ran out of gas. He and his wife paid for the gas and wouldn't accept a cent for it. I hope if they ever read this post they will know how much I appreciated what they did for me. I was a young woman and really didn't notice I was running low on gas.

once we were driving to a city about 4 hours away in a car from my hubby's work. we didn't know the gas gauge was broken so here we are, in the middle of a major highway and out of gas and no one to call. i ended up flagging a stranger down and he took my hubby to get a gas can full of gas while i stayed in the car with our youngest daughter. it sure was scary having all these semis driving by, shaking the car but it turned out alright.

Just a smile from a stranger will definitely lighten up your mood. There a lot of kind people out there, and we also have to be the kind person that will share smile to strangers. Who knows, your smile might make a difference to a fellow stranger. So always smile.

Last September, at Disney Worlds Night of Joy, I was standing in a line to get my 10 year old an ice cream and the guy in front of me gave me is Disney gift card and said to buy him what he wants and enjoy. Then in January I was at a department store and a lady walked up to me and gave me her gift card and told me to buy somehting nice. I think today with everyone struggling the ones that can help seem to be there when you need it.

Yes I agree that when people say things like that to me it makes me feel special. And my day does go a lot smoother. I can't think of anything right off hand but I know that people have said things similar to me and it made me feel good.
