Music that makes you feel better

When I'm feeling down & out, feeling like the world is on top of me, like my life is going nowhere, there's certain songs that can make me feel better. They lift my spirits and help me realize that I'm bigger than my problems. They remind me that I can rise above any obstacle that stands in my way. These songs are: Monica - Still Standing "(They say) whatever don't kill you makes you stronger, well I must be the world's strongest woman. See I done done a whole lot of growin', everything you say I'm already knowin'. Cause I, I been up against the ropes, everything you're going through, I've been there before. Seen them all come and I seen them all go. You can bet your last that my head won't hit the floor, never. I'm still standing, standing, standing, standing. I'm still standing, standing, standing, standing." Leona Lewis - Happy "So what if it hurts me? So what if I break down? So what if this world just throws me off the edge, my feet run out of ground? I've gotta find my place. I wanna hear my sound. Don't care about all the pain in front of me, I'm just trying to be happy. Just wanna be happy." Lee DeWyze - Sweet Serendipity "I just want to be strong, at the end of the road. I don't want to hold on, I want the strength to let go. And I'm doing just fine, I'm always landing on my feet, in the nick of time and by the skin of my teeth. I ain't gonna stress 'cause the worst ain't happened yet. Something's watching over me like sweet serendipity." What songs and lyrics help you feel better no matter what's going on in your life?

I am kind of stuck in the 80's, today's music is so mutant, I listen to all kind of music, but when I go back in time so does my spirit... symphony of love "fair control" Catch the fox "Den harrow" daydreaming "dusty springfield" In the heat of the night "Sandra" "Phil Colins" against all odds part of lyrics ..so take a look at me now cos there's just an empty space and there's nothing left here to remind me, just the memory of your face....

I absolutely love listening to Phil Collins' music. All of his music makes me feel good. He did all of the music in the Disney movie, Tarzan. He's probably done other Disney movies too.. I think one of the reasons I love that movie is because its nothing but Phil. Its my favorite soundtrack of all time.

i am into instrumental music like sax, guitars, etc. Jazz has been a fav and it seems to uplift my spirits each and every time i'm down, some sort of a tranquilizer that helps my mood to feel relaxed and calm.

I can't really pinpoint a handful of songs that make me feel better because my music knowledge is entirely too extensive... but I do enjoy rap, R&B, jazz, soul, classical, pop, gospel and any genre that may strike my ear as something I would enjoy listening to that lightens my mood. Particularly, any Chris Brown song makes me happy! =)

Music can bring you all kind of feelings.. Music can make you romantic or sad, happy or just be your only friend sometimes. I usually use music to motivate myself and relaxing. I don't think that the genre of the music is important. The important thing is what music makes you fell. Sometimes the music is the only thing that you have so we should thank that we've got something like that :)

Sad songs makes me happy. Irony, right? I love listening to rock music especially emo. Most emo songs tell a story that I can relate that's why I love listening to them. They ease the pain, the heartaches, the griefs.

I don't know what it is about music itself, but there is certainly something about it that can put us into literally any mood that we choose to be in at the time. I have a playlist for when I am exercising which typically contains upbeat songs, and I have another one for when I am wanting to relax which contains much slower songs. I love music, and I have to say that I always have to have music playing no matter what I am doing at the time. I don't think that I would be able to get through my working day without it.

I prefer romantic love song in English, Korean and French and listen to music everyday, especially after working. I know a little bit of Korean and French only so that i also cannot understand whole song lyrics. However, melodies of those songs always make me feel good, relax-able and calm down...

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" actually is a song that helps me remember that things will turn around soon. "When all the clouds, darken up the skyway, there's a rainbow highway to be found. Waiting, by your windowpane, just a step beyond the rain.... Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high. There's a land that I heard of, once in a lullaby. Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue. Birds fly over the rainbow, why then oh why can't I? If happy little bluebirds fly, beyond the rainbow...why oh why can't I?"
