Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen can bite me!

Now I am no Obama mama in any way but this post has nothing to do with him when it comes to this campaign fumble. This one is all his strategist Hilary Rosen. That witch came out and said that Anne Romney hadn't work a day in her life because she was a stay at home mother! As a stay at home mother I found this to be highly offensive. Not everyone wants to pawn their kids off to have someone else raise them. Pay nannies and house keepers and cooks to support their families as some of those rich politicians are doing. Not everyone has the option of coarse to stay home and some don't want to and hell that's fine with me but don't you dare say we stay at home mothers don't work. I am my families cook, maid, nurse, nanny, accountant, plans coordinator and chauffeur. I get up before everyone else and go to bed when they are all asleep. I do not get a lunch break, pay, or vacation, and sick time, what the hell is that? Then to have that B*^ch put women (and men who stay at home with the kids), down like that. I am enraged. Rosen was speaking about women's economics, because of coarse someone who stays at home knows nothing about budgeting, paying bills, making money stretch paper freaking thin to make ends meet. How about this get a couple of those extreme coupon stay at home mothers and let them have a crack at the budget and I bet they could have us dug out and stocked with enough tooth paste to supply the states for five years! The point being that just because some one stays home to care for their family doesn't mean they do not know what is going on in the world.

Hell yeah! I chose to not have kids. Granted I don't like them much, but I also realized as I got older that I wasn't going to find someone who could support me to stay home with them if I did have some! I know a couple of stay at home mom's and they actually work a LOT harder than some of the women with jobs! Its HARD to run a household on one income today!

It always has been hard to do that is why so many needed to get jobs to help supplement. But no in a world that believes everyone has a two income family and extra cash it is hard. Gas prices making it harder by the day!

as you may know, I didn't work for the better part of 3 months this winter... I actually saved money because most days I could sit at home and not drive places!

We didn't have an income other then unemployment for a while too long of a while as well. It is amazing how some thing as little as not driving around can save so much money. I was also amazed how how my husband didn't wear as many clothes. I never realized how much more often he changed his clothes when he worked. In a round about way that saved us money too. Less laundry to do less energy used to do it. None to mind the time!. Are you working now?

"Every mother works hard, and every woman deserves to be respected. –mo" - Michelle Obama (Tweets signed 'mo' come from Ms. Obama personally and not her staff) (https://twitter.com/#!/MichelleObama/status/190469503161860096) “There’s no tougher job than being a mom.” - President Barak Obama (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/04/obama-rejects-rosens-comments-on-ann-romney/) Glad to hear you're shoulder to shoulder with our President and the First Lady on this one.

Yeah, there's no question that the president rushed to get away from this one. Lucky for him it wasn't one of his employees that said it, just a regular guest at the White House.

I bet Hilary Rosen won't be working in D.C. ever again. Whether she's a mom or not.

Well there's always some common ground between people.

You put it extremely well. Stay at home moms are typically the ones doing all the grocery shopping and often are paying the bills as well. It's IMPOSSIBLE to do that without being VERY well aware of the economy. If you're clipping coupons and doing runs to the store you know to the cent exactly how much food prices are rising and falling. In some ways a stay at home mom may very well be more in touch with the economy than some working moms.

It's true. I mean do I know what oil is selling for, well no not unless I look, but I can tell you when it costs more just by my fuel and milk prices.

Yes, her comments have tended to set off a firestorm. I don't blame you for being offended on this score. She is so totally out of touch and it shows. I would so argue that her job is pathetically easy, sitting around doing nothing. I am going to bet that cushy job won't be hers much longer. Ann Romney is looking really good right now with how she handled the situation.

I so agree. I wish I could remember the name of the lady who once figured out how much all the things a stay at home mom actually does actually would cost if they had to have it done commercially. It came to quite an astounding amount. I think it was in the five digits annually. Interesting huh? I wouldn't be surprised if a man or group of them helped her write that speech.
