Generous Gift From A Complete Stranger

I've met a lot of interesting people here at myLot, and at other online sites where people get together to just hang out and talk about whatever's on their minds. Anyways, I met this woman on another site a couple of weeks ago and we've been hanging out quite a bit and just goofing around and having fun......nothing serious or romantic or anything like that.......she's just another online friend that I have some things in common with and enjoy interacting with. Well yesterday I was kind of surprised when this girl I've only known for a couple of weeks asked me if I would like a golden shower. I'm not quite sure what to do.......I mean I already have a shower that works pretty good (It's actually a bathtub with the shower on one wall), but then I'm thinking it might be nice to have a backup in case my regular tile shower ever breaks down. Plus, this is a GOLDEN shower! If it's solid gold it's probably worth a small fortune...and even if it's just a gold plated shower it would still probably bring in some good money at an auction or something. On the other hand, I could always donate it to somebody that could really use it. Maybe a shelter or something...although I don't know appropriate it would be to give a bunch of homeless people a golden shower...maybe a friend or relative would be a better choice to accept my golden shower. So, what would you do if someone gave you a golden shower? Would you keep it, sell it, or give it to someone else? I don't know.....I can just picture myself standing in the golden shower soaking myself down and just enjoying life....would definitely probably put one of those massaging shower heads on it. What do you guys think?

Well... knowing you for so long now... I thought I had better make a search just to see what a golden shower might imply and... I would keep my stainless steel one and carry on life as usual Whether you will is a completely different matter and whether informing us as to what you do would be a wise move or not is entirely up to you

Thanks for the laughs, Sconi! I just had 2 13yr old boys at my house over the weekend and heard all sorts of bathroom humor...golden shower was amongst their many gross discussions, jokes and farts. They would have absolutely loved this discussion! Love it!

I have a 13 yr old grandson and grew up around 2 brothers. To me, things like "golden shower" are just so common. I was surprised at how many people don't know what it is but then again if you haven't been exposed to it....

hi sid, I agree this is a long on going discussion that really is humourous.. And the thing is that half the people just really don't understand "golden shower"...funny discussion, not a funny meaning....

I hope she isn't one of those who give one item for free and force you to buy her other goods. A good set of encyclopedia won't be so bad, though. I just don't see how a golden shower is connected to an encyclopedia.

Hi sconibear, the only thing I will say is you can't get something for nothing... But who is the friend that you have only known for a couple of weeks, who is willing to give you anything gold. Is it stolen...and thats a very odd gift to give someone as a first gift...don't you think??? Do you think the water feel differently coming from a gold shower is different than the regular stainless steel one...

I Know it!!! We've missed you!! Your discussions and random comments always never fail to bring a chuckle. You've been pretty scarce these days. You and Lamb together are like Chris Farley and David Spade, Mac & Myer for Hire, The smothers brothers....hope you are back for good.

I would not be interested. I would kindly say....not my style and have her give it to someone who needs it...like you said, a shelter or something like that.

hi sconibear I doubt its solid gold as that wouldn't work as a shower but its probably gold plated lol. keep it and feel like a king or queen . I would do that if I had a place to put it and use it. we have something I just adore a hand held shower device that you can use on all the little corners of your body.It seems to me just made for us senior citizens.but we do not have a golden shower wow.I love to wash my hair with it as I guide the water just where i want it.so my advice is use it and love it and bask in the glow of a golden shower.lol

Until i actually know what is she means by 'golden shower' instead of assuming it is a shower and tub made of Gold, i won't be too happy about it yet. If someone i met online for only two weeks offered to give me of a gift set "Golden Shower", i probably will not resist if she insisted, i can keep it and make use of it no doubt about that.

There are no free lunches you know. Be prepared to replace gold plated shower with 24 carat gold shower.

A golden shower? What a bizarre "gift"! I mean, I would never think to give anyone a shower - let alone a GOLD shower! Unless there is some significant meaning to plumbing items from your conversations?? Or is there another meaning to "golden shower"? Hmmmmmmm. BUT If someone were to give me a golden shower . . . hmmmmmm. Let's see, I can't regift it for the reason above (I can't think to whom I would give a shower). I might see if I can find the store in which it came from to see if they ok a no receipt return policy (but I wouldn't tell my friend about it). I might try to sell it on ebay - you never know who might truly want or need a golden shower. I might use it as a white elephant gift. Or I might end up using it afterall in case I redecorate our bathroom and decided to go on gold theme!!!

I just hope it's not just spray-on gold.

OH MY GAH! And EW! Ok, so definitely would not keep. Definitely would not regift. Um, guess it can't be returned (or at least I don't think I would "return the favor"). Forget the white elephant gift. And the only place it'd go in my bathroom would be down the toilet!!!

Yes, there is some meaning but you'll find it if you follow the good old rule to read the previous posts in the discussion.
