I am quite cheap and I am only willing to pay 1500 pesos for a pair of shoes- 40 dollars.. But those really pretty ones cost so much more- like, twice the price that i can afford. I wonder what makes them so expensive..the design or the brand name.. ? I'll stick to the ones that cost less but are still beautiful and durable though until i can afford them.

Me it doesn't matter the brand of shoe but if it's under $20 dollars I'm willing to spend that money but only if I really need a new pair other wise I'll just look at shoes and not buy them. I'm not a shoe shopper like some women are, kid's shoes are pretty expensive the last shoes we bought my 15 month old daughter was under $10 which is hard to find with kid's her age.

Yeah, i wonder why kid's shoes are expensive too ,even though they are quite small. maybe it is the design and maybe it is very comfortable. it's hard 2 find shoes under 20 dollars, unless it's second hand.

I've bought all of my daughter's shoes that have are not second hand at all. Walmart is a great please to get baby shoes and Payless. I just bought my daughter a new set of shoes today for $10 dollars. The reason why kid clothes and shoes are so expensive is because lots of people have children of that age so they can afford to raise price higher knowing some parents will buy these things at full price like that other parents will price shop or learn what stores have the better deals on shoes. I never buy any thing from the mall unless its like on a ridiculous sale but a lot of a parents want there kids to where name brand things because it makes there children look or seem cool or make them look rich or have more money then other people.

Hello lady1993 Ah, the shoes. The shoes are the most important part of my wardrobe. Not for fashion, but for function. I am willing to spend as much as I can afford for the comfort of the feet. The comfort of the feet is vital to the healthy living. I can't recall spending more than $275.00 for a pair of shoes. Those were hiking boots that I used all the time. I didn't want to be hiking 30 miles in the middle of nowhere and have a boot malfunction, or worse, a twisted ankle. These shoes were worth every penny, not just for the hiking, but also because they are incredibly comfortable. I wear them for more than just the hiking. For a well built, comfortable, dress shoe, I average from $175.00 to $200.00 per pair. I have bought less expensive shoes in this genre of shoe, and regretted it in the long run. I still have stylish dress shoes that I bought 22 years ago. They were well worth the price. My favourite pair of shoes is a pair of Teva sandals that I bought for $11.00, seven years ago. These were normally around $70, but I caught them on the sale. I wear these shoes more than any of my other shoes. I probably wear them 95 per cent of the time that I wear shoes. Although not expensive, they are well made and have probably been the best shoe investment I've ever made. Again, I go for comfort, function, and how well made the shoe is.

I am cheaper than you when it comes to shoes. I will not spend more than 500 pesos for a shoes. I wait for bargain sales for that branded shoes. Or I will go to second hand department and buy branded shoes.. hahahaha... At this time, I am not buying shoes anymore because I have a lot of shoes given by a friend who has lots of shoes. Her shoes are of good quality. To me, I am particular about where the shoes is made than the brand names. I love shoes but I won't spend big amount just to have shoes.

Wow.. it is hard to find good shoes for 00 pesos.. But if they are on sale., i guess you can find them.. I don't like going on malls sales much though, since there are a lot of people at that time and it is hard to go home.

I get some great shoes on HSN and QVC. They are alittle pricy but are good shoes. If I know they are good shoes I will pay alittle more. Like for a pair of tennis shoes or walking shoes. And for a name I know is good. But for some silly high heel or something I wouldn't pay much for it.

It depends. My work shoes are 1500 or less. I don't spend that much on work shoes. But, my running shoes and trek shoes are quite expensive. Well, that is because I wouldn't want to suffer an injury when running or trekking. And, there was a time I spent on Fitflops, too. Maybe I'll buy another one in the future (Fitflop boots), because it would be good for our travel in the autumn to winter months. All others, I love finding good, but cheap shoes.

Yeah, i think it is okay to buy expensive ones, since they usually provide comfort and protection.. especially for sports activities.. I don't do any sports though, so i don't need to buy expensive ones.

this is a quandary that i am often involved in as well, lady1993! my tastes in shoes, purses and clothes unfortunately are above and beyond my budget! however, i have noticed that buying good shoes and paying more for them is worth it in the long run! good shoes fit better and are more comfortable and last much longer and if you take the alternative option, you end up having to pay more anyway by buying replacement pairs of shoes...isn't shoe shopping fun!?

Oh, yes.. mostly expensive and branded shoes are good ones.. they last long and look good for a long time if properly taken care of.. But we shouldn't buy them so often since they last long anyway.

Designer Trainers - This guy (actually me some years ago now) is wearing a rather shabby pair!
People are willing to pay alot for a brand name. Most of my clothes are designer; and yet in my favour, my clothes buying days are long gone. And some of the clothes I wear are pretty shabby, including the two pairs of designer training shoes I favour. I have others, lying about the place. I'd be willing to pay...well about 30 pounds sterling, maybe more, for a new pair, but I've not the inclination right now. Nor the spare cash. One of these days I'd like to upgrade my wardrobe though. I can remember a few years ago now I think I paid about a hundred pounds sterling for a pair of shoes. In the end, I decided I didn't like them, and had them dyed. I've barely worn them. That would be far too dear for me these days.

I usually spend about twice that. I want high quality shoes and they are expensive. I need a new pair of sandals and am dreading having to spend so much money. Maybe I can get by on more year on my old ones. Lets hope.

I think it is okay to buy expensive ones as long as you really need them and you use them all the time.. and that they last for a very long time too.. it is definitely worth the money.

I really don't buy an expensive shoes, although I really love to have Celine shoes and that's for me an expensive enough. Whenever I have an enough budget to buy a not so cheap shoes, I stop and think of buying a cheaper one so I can buy a clothes or food. The brand name plus the material attributes the price, you can include the rent. Leather type of shoes were the most expensive ones, although it looks good and durable, I won't as much as possible buy a leather shoes or bags.

Yes, the rent also adds to the price. Especially if it is sold in a big and famous store.. the rent there must be expensive. If i had lots of money i would have bought dozens of shows by now but then i wouldn't be able to wear all f them, good thing i didn't.

I have no luck with shoes and I'm not willing to spend a lot on them. Most shoes I see are in two categories, one is cheap and will last a month or two, the rest is expensive, I can't really see anything between. Even the cheap ones are not cheap enough for their life span, but I chose to buy them because I can't afford more expensive ones now. Although I had no luck with some of my good quality deals either, they didn't last as long as I hoped. I walk a lot, that's also true.

I rarely buy cheap ones... i bought a rubber shoes that was so cheap, but since i only use it like a few times every month.. it lasted long.. While the other rubber shoes which was a bit cheap only lasted a few months before the outer parts started rotting.

I won't spend ridiculous amounts of money just for the brand names... I know that really quality shoes cost a lot, also, but I'm living from a budget. The most I would spend on a shoe would be about 15000 Hungarian Forints, which is around 50 euros more or less... but only for a pair of shoes that are quality and classic and I'm going to wear all my life, like a classic pair of black stilettos. For trend shoes, I love them :D, but I'm always hunting for bargains and I buy not-so top notch quality shoes, because they might go out of fashion and so,

Yes, i love bargains too, especially when they give discounts on branded shoes. I buy shoes that will match with anything too, so it's usually black or brown.

Usually my shoes are around 1500 pesos or less. But, when I really like the shoes, especially that they are comfortable, I will really buy it. I think the most expensive shoes I have is 4500 pesos. I just bought that shoes because it is really comfortable and doesn't hurt my feet at all.
