My friend went to Iceland a number of years ago. I looked at the photos and it looked stunning. I know there are cheap flights there from my home country and Canada but once there it is very expensive. The summer season is short and that is time best time of the year to go there. In the winter some people go to see the Northern Lights which I think would be an awesome experience. Are you keen to visit Iceland? Would you camp, stay in a guest house or spend loads in a hotel? Would you hire a car and explore the island or do a one day bus tour?

I have never been to Iceland, but we had a guest teacher from Iceland in my psychology class and she told us a bit about about her country. If I get the chance to go to Iceland I would rent a car and explore the country on my own. I don't like bus tours, I prefer to do things my own way and I like to have the freedom to visit the places that I find especially interesting. I would explore Reykjavik at first and afterwards I would visit other parts of the country. I have heard Iceland is a great place to go kayaking. I have tried that in Denmark, and it I think it could be interesting to try it in Iceland, too. I am not sure what kind of accomodation I would choose, and I would look at the different options and the prices and find a place that I could afford.

It is lovely that you have tried kayaking in Denmark and if you did it in Iceland the scenery would be awesome. Yes, looking at the accommodation prices to assess affordability would be very sensible I think. I liked hearing what your psychology teacher thinks of Iceland. My Spanish tutor came from Venezuela so gave me an idea of that particular country.

I think it would be very cold, but if I went there I would definately explore the island while I was there. I don't like bus tours personally, so I would rent a car and explore on my own.

Renting a car would be ideal for you and there would be some great scenery for you to see.
